What's the average number of times a person is filmed in the bathroom without knowing within their lifetime?

Every once in a while there's news of some creeper that's caught filming people going to the bathroom with a hidden camera. This makes me wonder....how often does this happen? How many don't get caught? How many times have I been filmed without knowing?

Reminiscing about the 970

This was my first PC build and it felt fabulous breaking away from the chains of console gaming back then. Today I had to clean this build which is used now for mostly media. This 970 was so quiet, I didn’t realize how special that was until I upgraded with other gpus.

Kava helping with insomnia?

Has anyone else tried Kava and realized it helped them sleep? I've recently bought some hoping for a relaxation effect. I don't feel any of that, and it tastes awful. But what I've noticed is that I sleep much better when I take it. It's not a miracle, but waking up at 3am instead of 12am is certainly a big difference for me. BTW...I'm using this for reference.

I think I need to re-calibrate my diet, any similar experiences out there?

I've been targeting 190 grams of protein a day while trying to eat relatively clean, but it just doesn't feel good anymore. Since my 20's I would eat protein throughout the day to meet the macros, but even though I'm eating much cleaner today and my bloodwork looks great, I don't feel great while sitting at close to 25% body fat. I get that things change as you get older, but it just feels like this diet of eating multiple times a day no longer works for me.

For exercise I lift 4x a week with an upper/lower split. At minimum I run 5 miles two times a week, sometimes more by replacing a lift day during the warmer months.

I don't like how i feel when I run. Not in pain but feel bloated and sluggish. I'm not as lean as I used to be. I'm wondering if it's time to look into fasting, even if it means I don't meet the current protein intake. Maybe I wouldn't be able to lift so heavy but would feel better overall.

Has anyone else made any significant changes that were against the normal advice as they became older?

To be completely honest with myself, it's probably overdue to completely eliminate alcohol. Having 4 drinks on a Friday and Saturday is a vast improvement from my past, but I know that could benefit. And I don't eat clean 24/7, I do have my cheat days, typically on the weekends. This will be hard for me though if/when I eliminate alcohol completely along with no cheat days. I'd reward myself for eating so clean for the week.

Exit Wound recording vs live performance

As much as I've enjoyed mansons latest work, Exit Wound didn't really do anything for me until I've heard some live versions of it. It sounds so good live. Initially I thought the single was growing on me, but when I go back to the recorded single it still falls flat.

What I've noticed in the live versions, either intentional or not, is that the synths are much more pronounced. Even in the intro of the single, they're distant in the background and create more of an ambiance instead of being up front and creating the mood for the entire song. The guitars sound more heavy as well, and mansons vocals are cutting through nice and clean with no filters.

Is this midlife or what is it?

I felt like I had it made, as my goals were to not work overtime (check), have a decent salary(check), and work bank hours at a job that doesn’t wreck my body (double check).

I’ve been investing as much as possible in hopes of retiring somewhat earlier than usual, which the best outcome would be at 55 years old - 10 years from now.

I don’t know where this came from other than my 3 day weekend felt like it went by too fast, but I don’t want to work anymore. Lately I’ve realized that I only really get 2 hours out of the day to do what I really enjoy doing, more on the weekends if there isn’t much needed to do like mow the lawn or other things that eat up time.

I feel guilty saying this because lots would be grateful to be in my position. I honestly don’t see changing jobs doing anything since I feel this job is easy for me overall. The things I’m interested in would not provide an income.

I’ve been thinking about just taking what I’ve saved now and retire even though it’s not nearly enough other than a few years of vacation. Then I’ll just be at a job that’s prob min wage in this one horse town to make ends meet.

2019 SE 7 Year Review!

Time flies!!

Mileage: 39k.
“Low miles lol.” Yes, 9k of that is the blessed short commute to work. Other 30k are road trips. We drive 2-5 hours one way when we go out because very rural area = need to travel to see concerts or events.

First the cons:
Tires: The tire that came with car absolute garbage. F-. They wore down so fast that I thought something was wrong with alignment. Only lasted 8k miles. Felt ripped off and for a while and wondered what else Toyota made shortcuts on.

Snow tires: When I asked for studded snow tires, Toyota placed low profile tires on aluminum rims. What a mess. Any bump would warp the rims and air would seep out. Toyota replaced the tires with standards that aren’t low profile free of charge and no prob since. And yes, I do my best to drive around potholes. Been doing that all my life. Never an issue until this moment described.

Recalls: one recall so far: fuel pump years ago.

Transmission: my biggest concern is transmission as I’ve seen many mentioning premature failure. No issues yet. Changing the fluid soon for preventative measure.

The positives:

Gas mileage: A+ Beautiful. 45+ easy on the back rural roads that have hills and dips. 40 mpg on freeway. It’s fun to post my mpg results and be asked if car is hybrid or if I was driving downhill (lol)

Power: B. it’s only a 4 cylinder, but it’s all I want and need. Sips on gas, but whenever I want to pass I can.

Comfort: A+ Quiet. Seats comfortable for long rides. I’m 6’2 and plenty of room. Feels like luxury still. Tbh I wish I had heated seats and steering wheel, but not enough to push me towards a new car. Car rides so well that when I first bought it was going 85 mph without knowing. Thankfully, no speeding tickets.

Snow: I give it a solid “B,” for driving through snow with studded snow tires. Does really well, but my 04 Civic was a solid “A.” I need to travel when everyone else is closed due to snow, but feel confident unless it’s an absolute whiteout blizzard with no visibility.

Overall rating: So far A. Couldn’t be happier 7 years later. Wildcard is the potential transmission issues that I’m worried about. I’m taking very good care of this car and will be keeping it for as long as I can.

If there’s something you want to know, ask away!

Is AEW gaining momentum again?

It's just my perspective so I'm curious as to what others think: I fell off watching AEW for a while and wont' get into why here unless someone specifically wants to know. I won't even get into WWE. I guess I fell into the category of a lifelong wrestling fan that would once in a while see something special and say, "I still like this stuff when it's good!!"

AEW dynamite was coming to my neck of the woods so I thought, "why not, it was on my bucket list a couple of years ago." I watched dynamite leading up to that event and was impressed that there was some good storylines that added emotion to the already great wrestling. I go to dynamite and had an absolute blast.

THEN I thought why not watch Double or Nothing. I was completely entertained for 5 freakin' hours! Even the best wrestlemanias had me tapping out here and there for an extended break.

Now here's the part that really had me saying, "okay...something special is happening here." My wife never liked watching AEW, and never cared for watching wrestling in general. We had to get up early this morning so I was going to turn off dynamite and she actually said, "let's watch one more match." I felt like I was dreaming lol.

So anyways, from my perspective only, AEW is white freakin hot right now. It reminds me of when I was watching WWF in the attitude era and could feel the momentum of something great taking over before hard data showed they were taking the lead in professional wrestling.

Had to drive 8 hours in last 2 days in my 2019 SE. I still appreciate the comfort and gas mileage.

Passing this along in case it helps others. I have a long history of insomnia like many do here. Tried many things, currently awaiting sleep study analysis, etc. I don't want to jinx myself by posting here yet at the same time want to help others. I ordered some CBN (I'd say name brand but don't want to make this sound like an advertisement). It's THC free. Bottle suggested 2 gummies (20mg), and at 210 pounds I wasn't expecting much when only trying one for the first time. Woke up this morning and it feels so nice to actually sleep! Glad I only went for 10mg because I don't know if I'd get out of bed with 20.

So I'm in my mid 40's (Edit: Male) and my test was almost clinically low 4 years ago as it was at 308 at total test. I've been suffering from really bad insomnia for a long period of time and I'm going through a checklist of what to look for that can be a factor. I provided things that I wanted to look into to rule out root causes, and one of them was a request for the usual rundown of what you look for in testosterone levels such as total, free, estradoil, etc. She said to be cautious of messing with test, but I didn't know that was a NO. My bloodwork results only show a test in sex hormone binding globulin, which was within range.

Since it took so long to get this appt in the first place, and I have health insurance which is still trash overall anyways, what would be the reason for not being proactive and wanting to know how optimal aspects of my body are working as I approach older age? I was also curious as to what my test levels would be since I've drastically reduced alcohol consumption and eating more clean. It would have been a great motivator to see some improvement.
