Dennis J. Woodyard, ThunderCats character designer and writer of the episodes "Well of Doubt" and "The Shadowmaster," is letting go of another amazing personal collection ThunderCats cel & more.

Dennis J. Woodyard, ThunderCats character designer and writer of the episodes "Well of Doubt" and "The Shadowmaster," has decided to part with another original production piece from his personal collection. This production cel from "Well of Doubt" features Lion-O, Panthro, Snarfer, Jagara, Tor and family, and the Homing Beacon Tower. What immediately caught my eye is that it captures one of Lion-O's most iconic images—raising the Sword of Omens overhead—along with a great group shot of several characters.

It also comes with the original hand-painted background, signed production model sheet xeroxes, and the original signed cel folder with Dennis' seal of authenticity, making it a really great glimpse into the animation process. It's not often pieces with this kind of provenance become available directly from one of the people who helped create the series, so I figured fellow fans and animation art collectors would appreciate knowing about it.

Signed Excalibur ThunderCats Script by episode writer Peter Lawrence

Here's another one of the ThunderCats script reproductions and custom cover pages Peter Lawrence and I have been working on.

This is a reproduction of one of Peter's original ThunderCats scripts, "Excalibur," complete with an authentic Peter Lawrence signature on the cover page.

Fans often ask Peter what his favorite ThunderCats episode is, and his answer has long been "Excalibur." That makes this one especially meaningful to me.

I have a couple more I'll be posting over the next few days.

A neat piece of ThunderCats history for cel collectors. Dennis J. Woodyard, ThunderCats character designer and writer of the episodes "Well of Doubt" and "The Shadowmaster," has decided to part with an original production cel from his personal collection. It's from episode #129, "Well of Doubt," and features Baron Tas, Mr. Grubber, and the Stone Guardsmen. It's not every day a piece of animation history like this becomes available directly from one of the people who helped create it.

Mongor Script signed by episode writer Peter Lawrence

Just something cool that Peter Lawrence and I have been experimenting with.

This is a reproduction of one of Peter’s original ThunderCats scripts - Mongor - complete with an authentic Peter Lawrence signature on the cover page.

As someone who loves animation history and behind-the-scenes production material, being able to flip through a reproductions of an actual ThunderCats script from the show’s production days is pretty incredible. The fact that it also has Peter’s signature gives it that extra connection to the person who originally wrote it. I love stuff like that.

Not announcing anything here, just sharing something I thought fellow fans and collectors would appreciate seeing. I have a couple more that I’ll be posting over the next couple days.

Part of the Hall of Omens Collections

For those who may not know, my journey researching ThunderCats Live! began more than 20 years ago. What started as a search for information eventually became the opportunity to help document and share the story of one of the most overlooked chapters in ThunderCats history through the Hall of Omens books.

It's difficult to put into words how much that means to me. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to not only connect with so many members of the cast and crew, but also to have Jane Phillips and Michelle Miracle join me at conventions and special appearances over the years. That is something I never could have imagined when I first started this research.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone involved for sharing their memories, helping preserve this history, and allowing me to tell their story. More than anything, I’m honored to call many of them friends.
