Upward Bullying: Short of quitting your job, how do you handle it?

I work in an environment that went from being a small team, to a group of 20 with several management changes and teams created. I frequently face vitriol on anything I suggest, have push back on work I audit and find errors on, and am getting little help from our management chain or human resources.

What have you all used to successfully combat this issue? And for anyone asking if it's my management style, I am always open to new ideas and techniques. I was always a great team player who people would rely on for help. The move upwards has really shifted how my colleagues treat me and their work. I am not the only manager, but we all face this issue and it's getting worse.

Affordable Day Trip Suggestions to Possibly Replace Amtrak Ride to Portland

Hey, y'all! My brother and I are traveling to Seattle to visit a friend during Labor Day weekend and we booked train tickets for a day trip to Portland. With the explosion at the factory, I doubt trains will be running through Portland by the time we arrive. And day trips to Vancouver that work with our schedules are sold out. Can anyone recommend another cool day trip where us city kids can see some Pacific Northwest greenery and not spend an arm and a leg?

I'm also crossing my fingers in hopes of some tickets to Vancouver becoming available. A girl can dream.

▲ 12 r/Payroll

I am in a total panic after visiting some elders over the past few months and I want to move west to be closer to family as soon as possible. I had more than ten years multi-state payroll experience with two of my jobs assigning me California workers because of how well I handled them. I currently process a complicated payroll (ETA: one state, no California employees) with several pay codes and schedules, nonstop corrections, and never-ending records requests that keep me busy. I am doing more work to pay people in a state with no income tax or disability than I did handling twice as many employees along the west coast. How hard will it be to get a California employer to even consider my resume? And I do believe this is a dumb question so I look forward to all answers, including snarky ones, that will slap some reality into me.
