Finding old family home
This is my only picture of my dad and sister at our old family house. I want to revisit it but I don’t know where it’s at

Look, I don’t even know where else to post this. I've been playing BL2 since it originally dropped on the 360. I literally have over a thousand hours in it. I know every glitch, every out-of-bounds skip, every line of dialogue.
Last night I was doing a UVHM run. I finally slogged through Hero's Pass, killed the badass constructor, and took the elevator down to the Vault of the Warrior.
You know how it goes. You drop down into the arena, and Jack immediately starts talking shit over the ECHO. Only... he didn't.
I hit the floor and it was just dead silent. The lava was making its normal bubbling sound, but the music was gone. I looked at the center platform and it was completely empty. No Jack pacing around in his shield. No Vault Key. No Lilith floating in the air. Just an empty boss room.
I figured the spawn trigger just broke. The game is old, it happens. So I did a quick save-quit to reload the instance.
The loading screen hung for way too long. The spinning vault symbol froze, and my monitor started acting weird, like the refresh rate was dropping. When the game finally came back, it didn't fade in. It just flashed.
It was only for a split second, but it was Jack's face.
It wasn't his normal model. The mask was horribly stretched out vertically, elongated like some twisted funhouse mirror. The metal staples holding the mask to his face were torn out, and dark, hyper-realistic blood was streaming down his neck. It wasn't cel-shaded. It looked like a real photograph. His eyes were just hollow black voids.
I literally shoved my chair back so hard I hit the wall.
Before I could even process what I just saw, the Vault arena loaded in. The lighting was completely completely screwed up. The bright orange lava was this dark, sickening maroon color. And right in the middle of the platform... I saw Lilith.
I couldn't sprint. The game forced me into a slow walk. When I got up to her, my stomach actually turned. She wasn't in her bubble. She was lying on the rocks, and she was completely disemboweled. It was so graphic. Her chest and stomach were ripped wide open, like someone had dug in to tear the raw Eridium right out of her system. There was gore mixed with glowing purple eridium fluid pooled everywhere. Her siren tattoos were a dead, ashy grey, and her eyes were rolled completely back into her head.
I tried to hit Alt-F4. I spammed the Escape key. Nothing worked. My mouse wouldn't even let me look away from her body.
Then the screen started to tear. That horribly stretched, bleeding face of Jack kept violently flashing over my screen. The audio completely broke, replaced by this deafening, grinding demonic static. It sounded like a corrupted audio file played at 300% volume. It hurt my fucking ears.
The static just abruptly cut out. Dead silence again. And then jagged, plain white text just typed itself right over Lilith's body. It wasn't the Borderlands UI font.
everyone thinks they are the hero of their own story but they're not.
The game froze. The lava stopped moving.
Welcome to pandora...
The static blasted back through my headset, but this time it sounded like actual people screaming underneath all the radio interference. The screen ripped to completely pitch black.
Right in the center of the dark monitor, one last word faded in. Just one.
Cayden.
My name is Cayden.
I reached down and physically ripped my PC's power cord out of the outlet. I haven't turned it back on. I don't know if I got hacked, or if I downloaded some messed up mod by accident, but I am never touching this game again
