Sudden drop in engagement. Confused.

My verified account finally broke into the algorithm this summer and was consistently gaining a lot of engagement all summer. I was getting payouts every two weeks since May. It wasn’t much, but it was very appreciated and was growing.

Two weeks ago, it suddenly dropped to low engagement and has been that way ever since, each day and night. I’ve gotten nothing about being reported or being labeled etc.

Is anybody else experiencing this? Any clue what is going on?

Curious what the onset symptoms are

I keep seeing people talk about their symptoms during the whole ordeal, NOT right before.

I say this and am curious, because the last two nights I’ve gotten extremely fatigued, which isn’t common for me. I’m a night owl. Last night, I had stomach pains that hurt and went to the bathroom. It was a mountain of mushy you know what. Minutes later, I was hurting again and it was now all watery and odd colored with some discomfort afterwards.

It’s been over 12 hours and I just feel a teensy bit off in my stomach. Who knows.

So, what were your onset indications before it HIT?

Spider-Man Brand New Day’s domination reminded me of this.

I remember working The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Maybe someone else remembers this. I say this, because we absolutely got SMASHED working on this specific day. Demolished.

Obviously the movie didn’t do the numbers that this latest film is, but I remember there was a $5 coupon that was sent in the mail to people. It could be used for a ticket on a specific day only and you only paid $5 for a ticket to this movie. I think that was the gist of it to get people in seats. Correct me if not.

I worked for Rave Cinemas. Everyone walked in in droves. We were swamped. It was insanity. Nobody could manage a break. The messes were out of control.

Does anyone remember this or was it just my theater? I don’t fully remember if it was nationwide in general or per one specific theater chain. It was just the second most chaotic cleanup we ever had, behind the first Twilight movie opening night. All of these burnt out Brand New Day posts reminded me of this.

What’s a movie that customers went to or walked out of, clearly not having watched the trailer or even looking up the plot?

I always got a kick out of customers complaining about a movie they were watching and it was clear that they didn’t even bother knowing what movie they were going to watch. Sure, there were people who loved simply going to the movies and would watch anything. I mean the people who really didn’t bother to look a movie up and were confused or angry.

My two favorites were-

A Father and little kid who went to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake, thinking that it was a kids movie since it had Dragon in the title.

An older couple walked out of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Brüno beyond furious.

Got any stories?

What’s the funniest instance you had where the incorrect movie plays?

A theater mistakenly played I Want Your Sex today instead of Spider-Man. It reminded me of Jackass 3D playing instead of The Oogieloves at my theater.

Been on the Pill for a Long Time and haven’t gotten my period recently

I have been on the combination pill since 2017. In 2021, I skipped 3 periods. After that, once in a while I would skip periods. I gained a lot of weight a bit ago and at my heaviest, my periods became impossible to manage. The fatigue, the pain, I couldn’t do anything. I lost some weight and ever since I haven’t had a period. It’s been a while. I get very light symptoms, however no flow.

Can anybody relate? I do have a regular Gyno exam scheduled. I’m wondering if anybody can relate. I haven’t been sexually active.

What’s the craziest thing that ever happened at your theater?

I don’t even know if I can say it on here from my theater, because it’s graphic and sad. It was all over the news.

I do have an interesting one though- a married manager in her 30s was having an affair with the married security guard in his 60s. The staff had no clue, until a manager found their love notes to one another hidden in a drawer.

What’s yours though? It can be from customers, staff etc. Anything!
