weird, somewhat annoying but not bothersome side effect of atomexatine?

I get these occasional body shivers a few hours after taking my medication. it's like a full body vibration. like I'm cold, but I'm not.

it's like a phone vibrating when you plug it into the charger. "there goes my vibration! my meds must be kicked in!"

it's genuinely how I know if I took my medication yet. if I got the shivers, then I got the meds.

I developed depression as response to my ADHD, how do you guys cope with that?

what the title says. my self esteem and energy got so low because of the symptoms of ADHD that I now have depression. I lost all my interest in hobbies, I sleep 14+ hours or I stay up for 36 hours straight, I don't talk to my friends, my screentime is 10+ hours, I just stare at the wall when trying to get things done, and I feel like a failure for it.

I don't know what's my ADHD and what's my depression, I can't tell the difference and so it's hard to know what coping skills to use.

How do you guys cope with both at the same time?

edit: I am in therapy but I wanted to see what real people with the same experience as me do to cope, as well as tips from my therapist.

funny moment of ankle instability

went to pt for a sprained ankle.

pt: "your left ankle is way more stable than your right one...which is weird because your left is the injured one"

me: "oh!"

pt: "it's supposed to be the other way around"

It turns out the swelling and stiffness fixed my unstable hypermobile ankle, never been more balanced in my life!

my ankles are so unstable that a sprain improved it. ha!

shoulders go snap crackle pop 24/7

Hi

my shoulders constantly painfully pop and grind, they subluxate when sleeping or lifting things or really doing anything. I am an artist and a student so I use my shoulders a lot. it sucks and I'm tired of being sore and unstable and in pain all the time :(

does anyone have any tips, products(affordable please, broke college student), or tricks to help with this?

i can't get out of bed

my eyes are always so heavy, my body is weak, and I can't think straight when I wake up. this always causes me to snooze my alarm 2+ hours until the stress of not making it to class gets me out of bed.

Even then, I have to lay in bed for more than an hour trying to not fall back asleep. keeping my eyes open is the hardest thing in the world and my muscles feel so inflamed and weak, and my mouth is incredibly dry. Sometimes in this state I am so irrationally irritable that when I lived with my parents they would try to wake me up but I would just yell at them.

i usually go to bed around 11-12 and set my alarm for 8-9, but end up sleeping/laying in bed until 11/12. (my classes are in the afternoon/evening)

i don't understand why this is happening, 10+ hours of sleep is more than enough, and I don't drink caffeine or alcohol. Does anyone have any sleep tips or also experience this? should I see a doctor?

Executive Dysfunction is like trying to run fast in a Dream

If you need people without ADHD to understand, try using this analogy.

have you ever had a dream where you are being chased and are trying to run faster? you are internally screaming at yourself, "go faster! go faster!" but you can't. no matter how much you want to, or the fact that you are physically able to run faster, it doesn't happen. that frustration? that impact on self esteem? the struggle? it sucks, and is not a choice.

this is how I describe executive dysfunction to people who don't have ADHD. The chances are pretty high that they have experienced this type of dream. It's often the only time they have ever experienced executive dysfunction.
