Anyone else end up playing the same empire type every time?

I always come back to tall fanatic materialist empires. They just feel so diverse in terms of playstyle. When I meet a new xeno, I can choose what to do with them based on my whims and vibes. When I'm an authoritarian, xenophobe, or militarist, the outcome of most first contacts feel already decided. Like, "Alright. I am definitely conquering you."

I just sat for 10 minutes thinking my Hifiman Sundara was broken.

Spotify was instead playing through my phone speakers in my lap. I was losing my mind. Like "Why is this so shallow and treble??"

HIFIMAN Sundara first impressions.

My HIFIMAN Sundara cans came in today and I'm impressed. My previous open back headphones were Sennheiser HD 599s and they're being ran on a PC with a ifi Zen 2 DAC. I'll be mostly comparing the Sundara to the HD 599 because all of my other headphones like the Sony XM4 and MDR 7506 are closed back.

Immediately, the soundstage, separation, and level of detail sound way better. I can hear everything very distinctively to an almost overwhelming point. I feel like I'm being surrounded by the music like a live concert or surround sound system. It also sounds more intimate than the kind of muddy XM4 despite it being pricier and closed back (I love the XM4 for its features and portability. They're not bad.)

The HD 599s were a game changer in the soundstage department compared to my closed back cans. The Sundara takes that so much further that it's night and day. I'm hearing things I've never heard before. Old songs sound new. The layers to classical music and video game soundtracks have especially opened up. I'm so impressed that I cannot focus on the stuff I usually do on my computer while listening to music like creative writing.

These headphones have turned listening to music into an active activity rather than a passive one. It's distracting if I'm being honest but I'm sure I'll get used to it. It's probably the same for the other enthusiast level cans like the HD 600 and up, the pricier HIFIMAN choices, and the FiiO FT1 Pro, which I don't own but have heard good stuff about. With that in mind, you could probably count this as a first impression post for literally any of these nice headphones.

My only complaint really is how much clamp there is to the Sandara headband. I have a big ass head and it's squeezing it. The bass also feels a little subdued, but it is also punchy enough to poke out. It's got its own distinct place carved out in the soundstage. Anyway, I'm satisfied. I just hope they don't break fast.

My favorite early 2000's albums of J-Rock band 9mm Parabellum Bullet have vanished from Spotify. Can't listen to them anywhere other than CD now.

Best drosera for 8B outdoors growing? (Current ones pictured.)

After collecting enough the past year, I've discovered that sundews are just the coolest to me and I want to get more.

By order, I have a 2nd year drosera binata "Otaki Forks, NZ", a 2nd year drosera intermedia x capillaris, a 2nd year drosera x eloisiana "Nightmare", some 1st year cape sundews, and 1st year alba cape sundews.

Do mind that the ice storm earlier this year killed all of my second year plants but they survived somehow and came back in the spring.

I work in medical delivery/service and have a background in emergency services. Also have an unrelated bachelor's and OSHA 30 cert I haven't been able to do anything with.

My company introduced an incentive for converting customers to our pharmacy. I ended up being the highest achiever in my region. This put me under a little monthly Zoom spotlight, and certain cooworkers like my manager and local sales rep recommended I go into sales. I've learned that I really like incentives and it makes me feel like I'd love having commission.

That along with my frustrations working in service really makes me want to make the jump. The crazy overtime, being on call, and dealing with dogs all the time is just getting to me, and I can barely make plans for shit because of this schedule. I just want to be able to go to work early, get my shit done, and then be able to get off to my personal time before the evening. Driving a van around to tickets put on me a minute before 5 is not it.

I've started looking at random sales positions both within my company and locally. They span from bathtubs to roofing, health insurance, and so on. I'm not sure which are bad, but I'm guessing commission only positions are a trap. I'm also only considering things that I would actually want to buy since I've heard sales success is only as good as your product.

What kind of positions would you recommend I apply for? What should I avoid at all cost?
