Is Ottawa River pathway flooded this morning?

Anyone know if pathway good after the rains? Safe to bike between Brittania and downtown?

Bike paths on Canada Day

Hello! Apologies if this is an oddly specific request. I have Canada Day off and no plans and was thinking of going for a nice long bike ride. Does anyone know if bike path access may be impacted by festivities? E.g. Ottawa River, Voyageur, Rideau River, Experimental Farm, etc. I assume it would be wise to avoid the canal.

Or alternatively any suggestions for places to bike that may not be too chaotic on Canada Day? Will not have access to car, so needs to be accessible by bike from the West End.

Feeling jealous about my husband's definitely platonic friendship

I am feeling really sad tonight. My husband has a friend, and their friendship is definitely 100% platonic. We spend time with her and her partner, are invited to their wedding. There is absolutely nothing sus happening here. For her birthday a few months ago I noticed him writing her a long long greeting card. He is a jokey guy and I know it was probably just stupid inside jokes and rambles but I felt this twinge of annoyance like "wow when have you ever written me a letter?" Tonight he attended a party for her to celebrate a life accomplishment  and again with the long-ass letter. I just felt this absolute red seering jealousy. He asked me if I wanted to sign it and I gave a snarky response like "well it is obviously just from you." It doesn't help that she is beautiful, thin, smart, cool, funny, unique, has an interesting career, travels a lot, also a bit younger than me... and I am feeling so dumpy and frumpy and mediocre right now and my career is stalling out. I know this jealousy is completely irrational. He sent me a photo from the party and she looked incredible. I deleted it from our messages because I couldn't stand to look at it. But a not loyal husband wouldn't invite me to sign the card and send me photos LOL.  He is a devoted father, a good partner. But also I can't remember the last time he called me beautiful, or thought to take a photo of me, or planned a date, or wrote me a sweet card or note. For Mother's Day he got me exactly what I asked for yes but no card or wrapping. He is rarely affectionate with me beyond the routine of hello and goodbye hugs. I know his love language is acts of service and he does this consistently  - mainly through cooking and being a great Dad which I am grateful for, but I wouldn't mind some words of affection and physical touch. He came home from the party and could tell I was sad, and asked me to talk to him which is OBVIOUSLY the solution but my stupid pea sized brain can't handle to admit how I am feeling hurt. I just said I was tired and wanted to go to sleep but really I have been in bed crying.

Kind bike shops

Hi! I have rode simple second hand commuter bikes my whole life, and I have recently been getting more into cycling and recreational longer rides. I am considering buying a gravel bike. I am looking for recommendations for a bike shop that will be kind and patient to a client who is female, somewhat overweight/not very sporty looking, and not super knowledgable about bikes. I am nervous about fit and comfort, especially the saddle. If there are any shops that are female-owned or have female sales staff this would be amazing.

Also, sorry if this is a stupid question as I have only ever bought bikes second hand, but is one allowed to test ride new bikes?

Would love to hear from women in particular.

Hair that has never been cut

My daughter was born with a full head of hair. She is now almost 5 and has never had a hair cut. Acknowledging that hair continually falls out, is it possible that any of the ends of her hair are the actual hairs she was born with, the actual hairs that were in the womb?
