what is the difference in treatment as a black woman who is a little below average and as a black woman who is average?

Particularly when you are dark skinned how can you truly tell which category you fall into? If people from your perspective are ruder to you is it the latter.

As a dark skinned black woman it is difficult for me to truly gauge which category I fall into, especially whenever I’m in an area with a low black population. I sincerely feel like I get looked at weird a lot, occasionally even by black men, but I also know there is colorism, that I do not have a “common” looking face and that I am, well, sick right now. So of course I won’t be looking fantastic. But I can’t tell whether it means I’m average or a little below.

INTJs what is something unexpected you think will happen after seeing my profile?

I have my tik tokposted there as well. I’m ISFJ, $47k saved 3.93 in community college and two semesters (summer and fall) left to go before I have my associates in child development. I’m thinking of getting a masters in social work but admit that this plan is subject to change. I have depression, anxiety and a complicated relationship with a mother who I suspect has late onset schizophrenia (my older brother has it. She has gotten us kicked out of our old apartment complex.) I’ve been very sad as of late as I’ve been sad since I was 15 about this feeling that no man has ever tilt over me but also am just pondering whether or not I may be the kind of person who just needs to be single.

People sometimes look at me funny. I’ve been working on addressing my sleep with my doctor but I’m 21 now and I want a glow up :/ Help! Makeup and plastic surgery recommendations welcomed.

My primary care physician gave me the wrong phone number for the Kaiser sleep study society which is a little frustrating because it’ll take longer for a CPAP. What should I do in the meantime to work on my sleep?

I am in a new apartment and the bed is not all that comfortable. I have a diagnosis of mild sleep apnea and I really want to work on addressing my sleeping difficulties, I know I should be getting at least 7 hours. I am a tad bit sick but my bed is either not comfortable or I am sleeping on my side - I hit my hand by accident the other day but my feet and hands are hurting which I don’t think helps.

My next in person appointment is on the 22nd but I am just really hoping to improve my sleep within the next week. I’m only 21 but right now my back, feet and hands are hurting :/

If it ends up being too much I may go to the er tonight and see if they can prescribe anything that will help me sleep.
