Finally reach a big milestone
Never thought I would get to this point. It has been almost 11 months since I started this journey. I still have a ways to go but I have more behind me now than ahead of me.

Finished Mumm Ra in his first form. LA Figures do such a great job on their models. Plus, this Gaahleri GHAD-39 and TurboX Mini compressor is amazing. I think I am going to paint Snarf next since he is primed and ready for paint.

Orko and power sword keychains are done. Gonna try a Battle Cat tomorrow.
This is my third print using the Canvas and I think it turned out well considering I'm a noob. It had 275 colors changes for this small keychain.
About 10 months in and down about 96 lbs. So far i have gone from 422 to 325 and still have a long way to go. The sad thing is that when I look at myself in still see the guy on the left.
I know some may think this is wasteful, immature, or irresponsible. Some will see a 47-year-old man buying toys and judge me based on that. These are from the first release “kids” line for the new Masters of the Universe movie coming out next month.
When I got home last night and sat down to open the box, I felt like a kid again. Seeing these figures brought back memories and emotions from a time in life when things were simpler. Saturday morning cartoons, imagination, adventure, and believing heroes always found a way.
What some people may not understand is that sometimes these things are more than plastic figures on a shelf. They’re connections to our childhood, to happier memories, to moments that shaped us. For a few minutes, I wasn’t worrying about bills, responsibilities, stress, or the weight that adulthood can bring. I was reconnecting with a part of myself that still remembers wonder and excitement.
Growing older doesn’t mean you have to bury the things that once brought you joy. There’s nothing wrong with holding onto pieces of your childhood that still make you smile. Life is hard enough already. If something harmless brings happiness, nostalgia, and comfort, embrace it unapologetically.
And honestly… opening these last night made me happy. That’s reason enough for me.
Painted a Skeletor for someone today. Still learning some things and getting used to using an airbrush. This Gaahleri combo still doing good. The comparison photo has the first Skeletor I painted over a month ago on the left. Kinda happy with the way this one turned out.
Finally finished the Mumm-Ra I’ve been working on for a while. This was my first time ever using an airbrush, and honestly, I found the whole process almost therapeutic. There is something incredibly satisfying about seeing the colors come together on a resin print.
I used the Gaahleri Turbomax Mini and a GHAD-39 airbrush. As a beginner, I was worried about the learning curve, but they worked flawlessly right out of the box. That said, I quickly learned that cleaning the airbrush is a major pain, definitely open to any pro-tips on making that part faster.
I’m really looking forward to finishing the rest of the Thundercats collection and have some TMNT figures prepped and ready to go next.
For the airbrushing I'm using the Gaahleri setup. (Note: I have a referral link for 5% off if anyone wants it, just let me know and I can DM it or post in the comments, so I don't clutter the main post!) You can purchase the this model from LA Figures on Cults3d: 🦁 Mumm-Ra Transformed - Thundercats・ 3D File for ・Cults
I am still not sure if I will get the hang of using an airbrush but I am slowly making progress on my Mumm Ra resin print. It is definitely not perfect or professional. I will say again that this Gaahleri airbrush and compressor work well.
This is probably a beginner question, but what do you do with all of the things you print? I see cool stuff and want to print it but then I am stuck with running out of space. I have a large MotU collection and now that I am printing stuff space has become a big issue.
