I am in need of some advice
About a year and half ago, or so, I purchased a 2011 Tahoe LT. One owner, biannual service records, clean and 94K on the odometer. And boy, was it roomy, comfortable and smooth.
For about two weeks.
Then the oxygen sensor failed. Then the Water Pump Failed. Soon after, the radiator. Then the control arm needed to be replaced, the tranny rebuilt, rear blender door thingamajig replaced. Today, she sits at my mechanics getting the gas tank replaced, as it has rotted out. All the while, it sits with a cool, crisp 97k on the odo. Thankfully, I purchased the car with an aftermarket warranty that has covered well over 80% of these repairs (waiting to hear about the gas tank ordeal at the moment).
I must admit, I've heard about the great reliability and durability of this truck, but I ain't seeing it.
So, I find myself at a crossroad;
On one hand, I have a rebuilt transmission with a 10k warranty, new cooling system, fresh cheap plastic flap slapping hot and cold air throughout the rear area, replaced suspension and, soon to come, a fresh fuel system, tank and pump and all. All the while, still holding 1.5 years/ 32k mile warranty.
On the other hand, this thing is killing me in the repairs. I was prepared for old car stuff; seals, gaskets, a bearing here and there, but this is absurd.
And maybe the previous owner, Sharon (that's the name stored in the Bluetooth for her phone. And her new phone. And her new new phone), drove this bad boy hard and put it away wet, and was just habitual with bringing it to her mechanic for regular maintenance, and I'm just footing the bill for the result of her hate driving methods.
I'm at a loss, boys and girls, and I need some advice.
