New iPhone User

Hi everyone,

I’m a new iPhone user and recently got an iPhone 17 Pro Max. I have a few questions, and I hope someone can help answer them. I would also appreciate any suggestions and tips for getting the most out of my iPhone.

  1. iOS Updates I’ve seen many comments and posts about iOS updates. Some users say updating frequently can cause problems or even break their phones, while others say not updating can also lead to issues. What is the reality? Should I update my phone when an update becomes available? I currently have a notification to update to iOS 26.5.1.

  2. Sideloading Is sideloading similar to using modded apps on Android? Is it legal or illegal? I’ve read that sideloading is legal in some regions, but it requires certificates. Some people mention using free certificates that need to be renewed every seven days, often through Shortcuts or automation. Could someone explain how this works?

  3. What Makes iPhones Great? Aside from the camera, what are the biggest advantages of using an iPhone? I’ve been exploring different apps, but many of the highly recommended ones seem to require a subscription or payment.

  4. iCloud Photos Sync I’m having trouble understanding how iCloud Photos works. I transferred my old photos from my computer to my iPhone, but when I enabled iCloud Photos, many of those photos disappeared from my device. How can I sync my photos properly without losing them?

  5. Email to Messenger Automation I’ve read that automating emails to Facebook Messenger is not possible, but I’ve also seen people say that it can be done. I’ve tried setting it up myself, but I think I may be doing something wrong. Is it actually possible to automatically send the contents of an email to Messenger?

Thank you in advance for any advice, tips, or guidance. As a new iPhone user, I’m still learning and would appreciate any help.

Email to Messenger Automation

Hi, I’m a new iPhone user and I’m currently using an iPhone 17 Pro Max. I recently discovered the Shortcuts and Automation features on iPhone.

Question: What are the limits of Shortcuts and Automation?

What I’m trying to do is: if I receive an email from a specific company, I want to automatically send the email body and attachments to Facebook Messenger.

First time iPhone user

Hi! I’m a first-time iPhone user, and I recently bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max (1TB). I’ve been reading tips on Reddit to learn more about using iPhone.

I’ve been an Android user for almost 20 years. On Android, I used modded APKs before and never had any issues with them.

I have a few questions:

  1. Where can I download apps similar to modded apps on iPhone without violating Apple’s policies or needing to jailbreak the device? I’ve also read about sideloading—is it safe?
  2. Do you have any tips or recommendations for a first-time iPhone user like me?

Thank you!

THEFT ALERT!

For the past few days, I was trying to log in to my Steam account but couldn’t. When I tried “Forgot Password,” I found out that the email and password had been changed on February 24, 2026.

I was able to recover my account today thanks to Steam Support, and I’m really grateful for that. Unfortunately, when I logged back in, I found out that my saved Dota 2 Arcana was gone.

I attached a picture showing the theft.

I hope whoever did this gets caught. They may have taken my items, but for me those were just items. What matters most is that I got my account back. That account holds years of memories, history, and game records with my friends, and I’m thankful I recovered it.

And if the thief reads this post:
You got the items… but you still won’t have the skills. Noob.

P.S. If anyone knows if there’s any way to help retrieve the stolen items, please DM me. Any help would be appreciated.

LIMIT QUOTA (CODEX, CLAUDE ANTIGRAVITY..etc)

Hi, I read some Reddit posts where people said they use multiple accounts for their projects. Some mentioned having 60+ accounts.

My question is: how do they create that many accounts while getting past phone verification?

I’ve already reached my weekly quota, and it sucks. I only have 10 accounts because of Google’s limit. Hoping someone kind enough could DM me and teach me—I badly need help.
