Rugged tablet for renewable energy field work in Australia — worth it?
When operating with battery storage and electric vehicle charging solutions, what tablet do you utilize if you're out on the field in Australia?
I was wondering what kind of applications you employ, e.g., capturing site images, making inspection notes, running commissioning software, customer forms, asset verification, and even maps.
One also needs to account for the weather conditions, i.e., heat, dust, rain, and very intense sunlight.
Anyone worked with Spdier 10 Tablet or an equivalent tablet device while working with renewable energy systems on-site? I would like to know more about it. How robust is it? How much time does the battery last? Is the display easily readable outdoors? Does Android work without any problems on the tablet? What about GPS reliability?
