Looking for some career assistance.

I really can’t stand AI flyers however, I had to formulate something quick for ease this evening.

I’m currently seeking career placement and am available ASAP. I’m looking for an opportunity where my skills can be valued, developed, and put to meaningful use.
I have not completed my education degree, however I bring 10 years of early education experience, 6 years of customer service, strong leadership and communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting children, families, and people of all ages.
I’m empathetic, inclusive, organized, detail-oriented, and a quick learner. I believe everyone deserves to feel respected, supported, and valued.
If you know of an opening where my experience and strengths could be a great fit, I would truly appreciate the connection.
Thank you to everyone who reads, shares, or keeps me in mind. ❤️

Maybe ill be lucky...

I'm trying to reconnect with memories from PS 375 Jackie Robinson School around 2001–2007. Does anyone remember Mr. Santiago, the teacher who later married another teacher at the school? I'm also trying to remember who the principal was during those years.

What's the beef with holding babies?

I know infants + 1 year olds subsequently need to learn independently, but they're still so young and I just dislike people who are rough with them.

"They need to stop all that crying"

"Youre babying them"

"They need to cry it out so they can learn"

"Put that baby down, they dont need all that holding"

Im annoyed of it. Not just because my child is a target of this but because parents drop their kids of thinking their social emotional is being accurately attended to, and its not.

This pattern I see, mind you, only is towards the children they dont favor. The ones they do of course are held and are catered towards differently.

I dont know if I need advice or to vent but wtf. Its weird energy. These are babies. That are going to have a life time of stress. Im sorry some kids like to be held more than others. Im sorry some kids NEED to be held more than others.

Someday I wish I could homeschool and take them all with me man. The projection of ECE sometimes does not look fair to the average kid.

Really wish people would show up to work.

Thats it. Thats the post!

When people dont show up it literally shortens everyone else's breaks and it extends the time ppl need to be there because of ratio. I am beyond sick of it. I literally show up on time and I work my absolute hardest day in day out. Just. For. This.

The end.

Today's still going good lol. I hope everyone else's is too.

Advice

In December I was involved in a car accident where the driver ran into the back of my car. Supposedly she passed out because of her blood pressure dropping. I instantly got out, stood with her til the ambulance got there, didn't go to the hospital myself but thats another story.

Now I'm dealing with this claim. Since December, I've heard nothing except "we're waiting on her medical records to come back"

What should be my next steps at this point, months later?

I feel like I am losing braincells in the infant room!

Please help guys with ways to make it, more fun? I don't know. I just feel like I'm not learning anything? The kids are well taken care of, i love playing with them and I value watching their growth, I just feel so empty and so bored and not challenged.

Anyone else go thru this? What can make it better because I do want it to be.

Thanks

Yall, Im 2 months in & I am doing my thing as best i can (managing staff, cooking, playing cleaner and teaching most mornings) but I just want opinions on whether I should continue or not.

Im a current center director. My daughter attends with me. She transferred over here with me to this new center. This is my first time directing as im usually in a classroom teaching. .

Here are a couple things that have happened that made me side eye but I don't know how 'large' these issues are considered.

•They operate multiple centers and if a center is short they merge them to another one. So currently I have 2 buildings in 1. It's not many kids but the confusion it leaves them with is borderline depressing to watch. A lot of times the teachers receiving these kids do not get names or ages.

•My name was found to be on two centers, not the ONE I am at.

•There's no actual professional development.

•So many parents are complaining about account issues and i cant even answer them because im confused too.

•I remember being told in the beginning that I could 'make up my references' for my folder. I didn't do that. But I viewed that as a very poor standard. And I actually have great references.

•The owner told us that the only person above her word was Jesus. Which, is wild.

•We were also told we were only there to 'fix a problem'. Imagine how that sounds to ppl actually excited about their career/ a new career.

•As a director, my child is supposed to be attending for free; however they're getting money on her behalf still from the state which I was unaware of until recently. I believe they've also been charging me the copay.

•The turn over rate is incredible. It's wild everywhere but here especially.

There's so much more that I may be missing here. But id just like opinions on what YOU would do in this situation.

Important reminder for parents: once your child leaves a childcare center, your voucher must be ended or transferred immediately.

Allowing vouchers to remain active after a child is no longer enrolled can lead to unnecessary payments being issued. Situations like this contribute to the strain we’re currently seeing on the voucher system.

While accountability exists at multiple levels, keeping your information updated is one way we can help protect access for families who depend on these services.

Please contact DSS or your caseworker to make updates as soon as your childcare situation changes.
