Which restaurant gets news coverage in 24 hours in Gotham City faster?

Popeyes and Waffle House are both infamously known for having the most violent staff while/or being in the most violent locations. If these two chains were finally given a location in Gotham City which one would end up on the news in 24 hours or less?

Well, 24 hours is hyperbole. It could take as long as 25 hours for anything bad to happen.

Snyder haters purposefully misunderstand the Martha scene

This scene is a character climax, not a narrative one. It shows that Bruce finally understands Clark is human too. It's not about the NAME, it's about the woman herself. Why do Snyder haters insist on pretending like it's all about the name Martha, and that it's not the culmination of their arcs the whole movie?

Why destruction in Man of Steel served a character purpose

So I recently rewatched Man of Steel for the umpteenth time after seeing Supergirl (had to do an annual DCU palette cleanse), and it hit me that the destruction in Man of Steel served a very important purpose: Showing there is only one Superman. Superman’s greatest weakness is not Kryptonite, or magic, or even red suns, it’s the fact he can’t be everywhere, all the time, all at once. He’s not omnipresent. In Man of Steel, it’s a two pronged attack. Zod puts two world engines on opposite sides of the world, Superman has to fly around the world and destroy one in the Indian Ocean, fly all the way back in like 30 seconds and stop Zod from shooting the bomb down. An impressive feat to be sure, but by the time he’s done that there’s already been thousands of casualties caused by the first world engine.

How does Superman circumvent this lack of omnipresence? He inspires HOPE in other people. He establishes the ideal, not to be some god, but to inspire others to help other people and be the best person they can be. The whole film Clark gets help from regular human allies. And in the end it’s these human allies that help him defend Earth from superpowered Kryptonians. It would be really easy for Clark to look at Zods ship and all those Kryptonians and be like “I think I’ll join that team.” But it’s the lessons from Pa Kent that taught him to stand with humans. It’s the Clark Kent side that actually proves more effective, because he couldn’t have done it without those allies.

It’s actually hilarious when you realize people who complain about the casualties Superman caused in the movie (even though he didn’t cause any casualties it was all Zod and the world engines) are literally just Lex Luthor and Batman in BvS. Buying into those same fears, looking like the goofies standing in front of the courtroom with “Superman sucks” shirts on. Goofies that don’t understand the character.

Would you rather take a 10 hit combo from Insomniac Black Suit Spider-Man or try to resist a 30 second interrogation by Arkham Batman?

For both instances you have military grade body armor

Edit: Alright, everyone is clearly picking the Batman option, so let’s make it actually interesting. The information you have is information about where Jason Todd could be. That or you’re working for the Arkham Knight.

Which two 5E14 subclasses would be overpowered if fused?

This is a very fun what if/homebrew(?) thing I’ve been thinking about. Two subclasses, of the same class, within 2014 5E, combining features and abilities. What would be the outcome and benefits for such a thing? What would be the most min-maxed you can max out of this?

Personally, I believe Assassin Swashbuckler Rogue would be pretty op. Not only do you gain more initiative, but you also get advantage on it, and your sneak attacks let you hit with advantage and you’re not even affected by opportunity attacks afterwards. That’d be pretty unchecked power, but that’s what we’re here for, right?

[Online][2014 5E][EST][Flexible] Anyone trying to run a Max Level one shot/short shot?

I(M22) am in the mood for some high level high-jinksonce again! I wanna feel powerful for one moment, or how many someone and others are willing to run. I’d be most excited to fight a God or a giant monster ramped up for level 20s. Whatever it is, as long as it’s not just us doing what regular level 3s can do, I’m game!

I don’t really do “about me” sections because I find it more enjoyable to know people while we anticipate the coming session.

I’m available for any time, but don’t like sessions taking more than 3 hours. I wanna have fun, but there’s only so much fun you can have staring at a screen for so long. I prime myself being a frontline character that prioritizes big damage and attention of the enemy.

I hope to gather up a group, maybe of 3-5, to fight whatever our Dungeon Master can throw at us!

Edit: Forgot to add that I’ve been playing DnD 5e (2014) for 5 years now.

I don’t have a campaign running, so this is just a sweet little savory I’ll keep pocketed.

Anyways, I’m looking for a fresh idea for a Monk, Cleric, or Druid BBEG. Typically those classes are the hippies of the DnD round table, but I wanna shift them into something more sinister; something that goes against their nature for the worst.

I’m not asking for much, only a little kindling to light a flame. Maybe a bit of motivation here, an end goal there, an army of monsters or woodland creatures there. You know, basic stuff.

I’d also appreciate it if Shadow Monk, Death Cleric, Spore Circle Druid are kept out of this because “shadows scary” and “undead army” are things that have been so done to death so many times that a spore circle Druid is already using it as a summon. But if you got ideas then feel free to share!
