Would you assume your client hated your work if they went completely silent?

So I had this student client who reached out to me for a project that was supposed to take ONE month max

It ended up taking 6 months

Not because the work was difficult, but because she kept asking to pause because she had exams, surgery, needed to rest, etc. And obviously, I understood. Life happens

Anyway, I finally wrapped everything up about a month ago and delivered everything

I told her multiple times: if you have questions, need anything changed, or want me to revise something, just message me

Nothing

Not even a “thank you.”

Not even a review of the deliverables

I even checked on her about two weeks ago because I started wondering if something personal was going on. Told her I hope she's okay and that if she ever needs help again, she can reach out

She didn't reply

But I see her commenting on LinkedIn normally. She's active. She's clearly around

And now I'm sitting here wondering...

Did she hate my work?

Because if she did, girl PLEASE tell me

I asked so many times if everything was okay. I literally gave her every opportunity to say, “Actually, can you change this?”

But she said nothing

And now I'm starting to feel bad even though I genuinely don't know what I did wrong

At what point do you just stop caring and accept that maybe the client simply... disappeared?

Because I can't keep reviewing a project in my head that the other person never complained about

Naaah bruh 😭 I just dropped a $450/month canvas UGC opportunity

The deal was:

2 posts a day on TikTok + Instagram, then repost to YouTube and Facebook.

I was SO happy because it was my first UGC opportunity and I had zero problem recording and posting twice a day.

But then came the approval process.

You have to submit every draft, wait for approval, then make edits if they ask.

And this was happening constantly.

Bruh I started feeling like I was submitting homework to a teacher every damn day 😭

The manager asked me to edit something twice and I was like…

Yeah. I’m done.

I dropped the opportunity

$450 is $450, but apparently my peace has a price too

They ain't paying me even , it feels depressing you feel like you doing it for free

Hmmm why do clients ask what tools you use and exactly how you do your content strategy? How do I answer that ?

Like I don’t mind explaining my process because you paid me, obviously

But at the same time… how much are you actually supposed to give away?

I had a client once who was VERY curious about my process, what tools I used, how I planned everything, etc

She paid me, then dipped out of our 3 month agreement and basically started doing what I had been doing herself

Smart business move I guess but girl… I was annoyed

Now whenever a client asks me for my entire process I’m like… okay but WHY do you need to know all this?

is there any way to find a clean, decent studio or room for around 5,000–6,000 bhat/month?

I’m sorry, I’m so embarrassed to even ask this as a student 🙏🏾

If you know a good agent, website, Facebook group, or literally anywhere I should look, please let me know :/

Thank you

What career can I switch to after 3 years in social media marketing?

Hey y’all, can I ask for some advice without judgment?

I’m genuinely not a lazy person. I’m just burned out.

I have about 3 years of experience in social media marketing, and lately I’m realizing this field might just not be for me. The workload, constant content demands, unrealistic expectations, being expected to somehow make everything “go viral”... I’m tired.

I still want to use the experience I already have though. I really don’t want to go back to university for another 4 years and then spend several more years getting experience in a completely new field.

So I’m wondering:

Are there any in-demand career paths that are adjacent to marketing/social media but don’t actually involve managing social media all day?

Like a niche or specific role I could transition into without completely starting from zero?

I’m also open to suggestions that have nothing to do with marketing. I just want something with better long-term prospects that won’t have me questioning my life every time someone says “can you make this Reel go viral?”

Would really appreciate any advice from people who’ve made a similar switch.

You can ask any questions let's see if I can help ❤️

Hey girls, I don’t really want to share too many personal details, but I’m 28 and I’ve basically spent most of my life dealing with a pretty unhealthy family situation.

Both of my parents, especially my mother, have a lot of narcissistic traits, and I’ve also dealt with bullying and being intentionally excluded by my older siblings. There’s been a lot of emotional and physical pain over the years, especially before I learned to defend myself.

The weird part is, my parents don’t really care what I do, where I go, or what I’m doing with my life as long as I eventually come back home. So in that sense, I have more freedom than people might assume.

Anyway, I’m not sharing this because I want sympathy. I actually hate having a victim mentality. At the end of the day, nobody is going to change my life for me except Allah and myself.

For years, I made bad decisions because I was constantly reacting from hurt and triggered emotions. I’m trying not to live like that anymore.

I taught myself a skill online, built my work from absolutely zero, and now I work from home while saving money because my goal is to eventually leave and go completely no-contact.

I’m sharing this mostly for context, not sympathy. I’ve figured out a few things along the way, so if anyone here is going through something similar and has questions, feel free to ask. I might be able to help from my own experience.
