Jumping to level 99
I’ve seen a video allowing you to jump from level 20 to 99. Aside from that, what are the other optimal points (level and particular battle) should I watch out for as to not miss such level jumps?
What’s the easiest to do or most convenient one?
As a Suikoden min-maxer, I’ve always been on the lookout for such points. I just don’t want to go over the level thresholds.

How do you determine which characters end up the best?
Just starting out in the game and I already have a bunch of units. I understand characters are good depending on where you at in the game, but I’m wondering the what is the biggest factor in determining whether a character is good.
I’m a Suikoden vet and for example in S2, rune slots were king. Is it the same here?

And it’s the biggest drop since 2023. Also the same time when every podcast, including the pod in which this sub is dedicated to, was saying rap was dying even though there were also albums like FATD.
It only changed in 2024.

Should I drop my Ivysaur for Mr. Mime?
Just got Mimien and done with Surge. Supposedly, Bulbasaur starts to fall off around this time, while Mime’s psychic typing is the best in the game.
Right now, I try to only carry 3 battle mons (Mankey and Nidoking are the other 2) with me, as I also take 3 Meowths for item collecting.
I know Alakazam is apparently better (which I can access via ACE once it’s accessible) and Jynx comes later, but is building Mime a good idea?
