Can't edit any Excel file

What could cause a freshly downloaded Excel from App Store not let me edit anything? I create fresh workbooks but no matter what I type it doesn't write. The files are not locked or read-only. I never experienced this before - albeit I only used Excel on windows.

With the current temperatures, do you still consider Southern Europe lazy?

I heard it all my life from German and other central/northern Europeans how lazy and unproductive we are in southern europe. You guys experienced 35C+ for a few times this summer already and now you understand how life is for us, not just for a few weeks but for 4-5 months per year. Do you still view southern europe "lazy" or has this experience softened it?

How to deal with the ... challenging difficulty when you're starting out?

As a seasoned Elden Ring/sekiro/soulslike player, I don't mind difficulty, but I will put my hands up and ask for y'all help. I just can't figure out combat in this game: random low-level scavengers defeat me in one hit. There also seems to be a really odd input lag? I know I need to "get gud" but how? Is there a low-level area I missed?

In my view, European brands are in an "identity crisis". At least within Europe, Chinese cars are now very common, buyers love them. Chinese have correctly identified that the average buyer is very price sensitive and want a modern look. Chinese cars are also very software-forward, with central screens etc.

But, in my view, European cars and especially Mercedes, shouldn't try to outcompete Chinese in being Chinese. European cars have different pros, namely: driving pleasure, high-end materials and coherent design language.

Trying to aggressively "Chinify" European brands will just lead to further market loss, in my opinion. Mercedes should identify and double down on why buyers chose German cars for a long time.
