does your dog do better with the crate uncovered?

i keep reading that you should cover it but i think my puppy feels very isolated with it like that. he’s a 12 week old poodle.

when you get a new puppy, do you start teaching commands on day one!

or wait several days until they settle in?
we just got ours yesterday and every moment feels like a potential teaching moment. he’s a 7 lb poodle pup.

playpens

getting a cavapoo puppy soon, and planning to have a gated playpen in my living room. i’m hesitant to get the kind that has horizontal bars halfway up, because he could potentially use them to climb out. know what i mean?
what kind/brand has worked for you?

puppy with an older dog

so i’m thinking about getting a puppy, and i also have a six year old, very calm and well adjusted dog. how do you handle the situation of the new puppy being in a pen or crate, while the older dog is outside of that?

is this normal?

so i did the first dose at 5:30, then when it kicked in, i spent an hour pooping non stop. now it’s 9:30 and i feel like im done for this round.
is it normal for it to take such a break,
for 6 hours until my second dose?
thanks guys. this is my first one.

mine is monday with endoscopy too

it’s my first one of either one of these. i’m actually more terrified about the endoscopy part. i’ve had heartburn all my life, usually controlled by tums.
anyone else have heartburn regularly and didn’t have barrets or cancer?
started my low fiber dieting, and anxious about the colonoscopy and the prep too. but ready to get it over with!

my male cavapoo is 6 and he’s an absolute dreamboat.

thinking of getting another to keep him company.

can anyone share your story of getting another, and if it turned out well, or if you regretted it??
