So I was talking to my partner about my dolls and the plans I have been thinking of for a few of them. While I was talking and looking at my shelf, my partner noticed my puppy crawl up next to me on the bed and start looking around my shelf at my dolls.

I didn't notice until my partner told me, I looked over at my dog who gave me the sweetest look, I broke out laughing and ultimately crying. Knowing that my dog is going to listen to me ramble on about my dolls is the most heartbreakingly precious thing about her.

So I was laughing, crying, losing my sh*t and she's all concerned like "whats wrong mom" so I composed myself and I looked at her, and said "where's Torelai" and she LOOKED RIGHT AT HER!! My dog turned her head around to look at Torelai and I couldn't help but laugh a little more, I consider myself truly lucky to have her.

So tell me, have your dog/cat/other pet taken an interest in your doll collection?

I'm considering sewing a second pair of overalls for Venus in a different fabric, let me know if you'd be interested in seeing a more in depth step by step sewing tutorial!

This shorts pattern is a shortened version of my Ghoulia's first pair of pants, with a droop added at the hip to give the overalls effect. I labeled the "front" side of the pattern, you might notice that the droop's placement and curve is asymmetrical. This isnt necessary but I felt it matched Fearbook's overalls pretty well.

You'll need 2x of the big piece, 2x straps, one rectangle front piece, two small buttons or beads to look like buttons, and a snap closure or Velcro.

The strap pattern piece needs to be doubled, shown in the picture with my first draft overalls in the striped fabric. The strap is doubled so that when it's fabric glued and folded, it's the width of the cardboard pattern piece. I sewed the shorts first, then sewed the side seams of the rectangle, then sewed the top seam. Then attached it to the shorts by the remaining seam, then added the already folded and glued straps, ensuring to check the length fit on the doll. My strap pattern is a little longer than needed, maybe half a cm too long but it's hidden at the back. I sewed the snap closure and the buttons on last.

I bought a self scare Venus, got her yesterday and I am waiting to post about her until the restyle is closer to complete. For Drac, I used a piece of double sided Velcro from a cord keeper to basically give her a bra extension, I hate those things lol but it did fix the problem of this shirt being too small for Drac's bust

I finished sewing these pants a few months ago and only recently decided on how to finish them up, chains, found metal tags, beads and a charm.

The rest of her outfit is her original shoes, a Barbie Teen Titans GO tshirt, a green plaid doll shirt (idk what brand, probably Barbie), LPS glasses, handmade bracelets, a seed bead Keroppi necklace and handmade hair cherries.

In the final photos she's posed to look like she's dancing to a song I have been listening to lately, a hard techno remix of crazy frog 🐸 if you look it up lmk, it's a killer jam

I got these girls and accessories in April (forgot to post) and my doll friend is someone I barely know. She’s a receptionist at one of the places I frequent, and whenever I see her, we talk about dolls and sewing/crafting. So you can imagine that when I showed up one day and she had a gift bag for me I was shocked, I even started to tear up. She’s been such a good friend to be able to talk dolls with, and we don’t know each other outside of that space so it was really nice of her to give these to me. I spent about a week making her a clay figurine of a sleepy fox. She has seen pictures of my clay work, so I knew it would be a good gift in return, and she loves it. I hope to eventually own the doll that goes to this circuit board dress (forgetting the name atm), I have never had Gigi Grant or Operetta before, and now I have a G3 Cleo for my many G3 Frankie’s. I have the new core Cleo in box, but she’s so perfect I don’t want to take her out of the box. I want to make a collection post soon, it’s been a year and a month since I got back into collecting dolls. Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

I took her arms off to start roughing out the concept for her suit-styled crop top and I think I am at a good stopping point to work on something else until I know what I want to do next. If you haven’t seen any of my previous posts the red pants on the left are also made by me, that’s the first version of her pants.

The first version is on Ghoulia, it’s the red pattern. The blue pattern is the new pattern, it’s going to be layered pants.... I hope it ends up looking cool, my sketch isn’t really accurate so much as to just show the vague concept of what I’m going for. I’ve started on the black and white fabric pant leg so far.

I’ve been looking forward to getting Oasis Lagoona since she came out, and she’s my only Lagoona so I don’t know how common of a problem this is. Also if others are having this problem, do they just glue it in with superglue? Or is this a return the doll situation? I’m really not keen to return her because I’ve been waiting so long to get her and her face is perfect. What should I do?
