I work full time from dawn to 5:30pm. Only Mon-Fridays. Am looking for jobs in the afternoon where I can make some extra cash
Any advice or help would be needed.
I live in Arlington, Texas in the DFW metroplex. The current house I live in, I am not happy and the lifestyle I want does not fit the household i live in but that's another story/problem I am not willing to type out. So I am torn whether I rent a apartment in Dallas closer to my job and live their until I reach my higher position in 4 years then maybe buy a house or just keep living in that apartment if I'm happy.. Or save up and buy a house somewhere in DFW where I feel comfortable.
I don't make much right now (will in 3-4 years) but am investing and saving my money very well. No debt, paying my credit cards and investing into my career but I am split torn between what would be better for someone my age, I value my happiness and freedom a lot right now but am thinking about prices 10-20 years from now. Asking myself "Should I own a house and consider it a long-term financial equity investment" or "Live in the city and grow my connections while my rent is flexible".
I know that owning a house can be difficult because of repairs. But I want every problem that comes with owning a piece of property. I love to repair and fix my problems without handing another person money if it's sometime I can study and fix safely. But renting is just easier on my short term money and peace of mind knowing I don't have any problems that come with renting out of nowhere unless it's inflation.
What would you do if you were in my shoes?
Thinking of applying to this college since it's close. How's the social/QoL in this campus?
