Breiðablik home fixture - 13th July - queries for football tourist

Morning all,

In Reykjavik from the 13th July, was hoping to go to the home Breiðablik fixture (copied and pasted the name from google).

Last time I went to Iceland, I got to see Valur. Ended up being a pay on entry thing, which was quite nice.

Had a couple of questions if anyone could help with answering.

-Where I would go to purchase tickets on the day (not 100% I can make it - 90%) - is there a ticket office at the facilitiy?

-Is there a store in the area where I can buy a jersey/similar? When I went to Valur, they told me I had to go to the Macron store for a jersey.

-What are the facilities like at the Breiðablik stadium? Are there any rules/laws around a beer in the stands like in English professional football?

-I'm considering getting the public bus - google maps suggest the No.2 bus from Rúgbrauðsgerðin and getting off at Smárar. How does the bus work? Would I need change or can I pay on card? Would I be able to get back in the evening after the fixture taking the bus?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Thanks,

Nick

3.5% increase - UPS2/3 above 40% tax bracket?

Realise this is a stupid question - and something I should probably know, but I don't.

With the 3.5% increase, UPS2 and UPS3 are 50,955 and 52,834 a year.

On the surface, that is into the 40% tax bracket (£684 and £2563 in), but it isn't necessarily.

You get £12570 tax free, but also TPS contributions (9.9% contributions at this pay) comes off before tax.

With that in mind that means that UPS2/UPS3 won't necessarily be in the 40% tax bracket.

Is someone, who knows more about this than me, capable of explaining whether this is/is not accurate please? And able to explain it to a simpleton like myself please.

Reese Stadium seating query - CT United fixture

Looking at booking tickets for a CT United fixture at Reese Stadium. The general admission and supporters sections all seem to be metal bleacher seating and be a sit wherever you like job.

The premium tickets in section 03 and section 08 (Rows A-L) seem to have individual seats. Are the seats in these sections actual individual seats or are they metal bleachers with numbers on?

I ask, as I'm planning on booking tickets for myself and my elderly parents. They can sit at football (soccer) stadium seats perfectly fine, but will struggle sitting on metal bleachers without seat backs due to the uncomfortable nature of this. Don't really fancy bringing seat covers etc. - the lack of a seat back also makes this an issue.

Any advice/help with seats in these sections would be really really appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Wardrobe internal drawers recommendation - UK based

Looking for a set of internal wardrobed drawers just for a bit more storage of clothing. Current external drawers are a bit too crowded, and could do with some storage for my sport stuff.

I've been looking at something like this:-

https://www.next.co.uk/style/st755509/397347

Or this:-

https://furnicomp.co.uk/products/dallas-universal-3-drawers-matt-white-60cm-internal-chest-of-drawers-for-wardrobes

Originally I thought this would be the best option:-

https://jysk.co.uk/storage/wardrobe-fittings/wardrobe-insert-viby-wardrobe-3-drawers-white

But then I found it too be too deep for my wardrobe.

The biggest problem I've got is that the lip/base of the wardrobe is about 10cm, so the first 2 examples I've included would need standing on top of a base, in order to access the bottom drawers.

Whilst getting a base/making a base isn't something I'm against, it's just a bit of a faff. I was wondering if anyone knew of any internal drawers that could fit in this space. Or even a base I could stack one of those 2 drawers on top of.

The space I'm dealing with is:-

45cm deep

68cm wide

70cm height

The lip/base board is around 10cm.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Going from Logan Airport to Patriots Place - would I make it in time for kickoff?

Pricing up a holiday currently, and looking at a flight arriving into Logan airport at 5pm on the 17th October.

The Revolution play that evening against Chicago. What's the likelihood of getting through Logan, renting a car, driving down to Patriots place, checking in a hotel nearby and making it on time for kick off?

Realise a lot of hypotheticals involved here (plane making it on time, small queue at the car rental etc.) but has anyone done this?

Or alternatively, can anyone suggest another option?

Passport books - blank inside

Afternoon all,

I'm looking for a passport book to fit in locations my wife and I have visited.

Ideally I want a passport which is blank inside, that can fit in stickers and stamps from locations. I'm not keen on the US one - it's full of information (which is great - but I don't want to cover all the information with stickers).

I liked the idea of this passport (https://travelstamps.com/collections/travel-stamp-collection-books/products/collection-booklet)

However it seems to be pages, and I'd have to get some rings to bind it.
Can anyone recommend some passport books I could buy that fit the criteria I've mentioned?

Dirt build up around bifold doors/metal lip (ants?) - how to deal with?

Came back from a week abroad to find this dirt build up around our bifold doors. I think it’s ants causing this build up (seen something like this at my parents house when I was younger).
I swept it all away, and put down ant powder around the area. When I looked underneath the metal lip - there space underneath but I couldn’t see exactly where the ants were getting in.

I’m a little concerned there are ants under the flooring perhaps - as under the sill/lip and the wooden floor board there was a gap (not massive but it felt like there was a gap between the floorboard and the concrete foundations).
The metal lip doesn’t feel properly screwed in - the whole extension that was done in this property (we recently bought), feels like it was done by some less than reputable people (the extension was done in Covid when inspections weren’t done…)

Beyond constantly using ant powder around the area, I don’t know what more there is I can do - beyond calling in someone to have a look at the flooring.
