2026 SEL R line

I’m considering a 2026 SEL R line. I would love feedback from tall/plus size people (not that tall but 5’9) on the comfort of the driver seat/space. I have a ford escape right now the driver seat is the most uncomfortable seat I’ve sat in. Also any feedback you have on the car itself, does anyone regret buying it?Thanks !!

Warranty admin salary question

I’ve seen a few other posts regarding this. Wanted to get opinions on my situation. I work at large Ford dealer in a high cost of living city. I handle more than just manufacturer warranty. I work anywhere from 55-65 hours a week(sometimes more depending on volume) i am on a salary of $80k. I was promised an assistant which is why I accepted $80k. I was hourly $27/ hour but they were complaining about my overtime which made them offer me $80k. I was pacing for $95k had I stayed hourly, I figured I wouldn’t be working as much if I had a helper. But I haven’t gotten one and was told they aren’t planning to hire one now.
I believe with my knowledge, and amount of duties I have, I should be making much more than that. Especially without a helper. I would like to approach my boss strategically to get a raise. What’s everyone’s opinions? What do most warranty admins make?

For manufacturer warranty I am responsible for it all - I perform a self audit on each RO, making sure all signatures are present, customer and managers. verify coverage applies, verify all correct procedures were followed by techs, verify correct parts (one time use) are billed to the RO, find correct labor ops and book the ticket, submit and close once paid etc.

I’ve also become the “go to” person for everything, even for the managers and service director. They typically delegate most things to me
I am the manager of the rentals and the rental coordinator
I train all new hires in the service dept, (especially on how to use dealertrack and Xtime)
I handle open RO meetings with advisors
I close every RO whether it’s customer pay, warranty, internal.
I handle the daily deposit, cash and credit cards.
I also assist the accounting team with reconciling schedules beyond just the warranty schedule.
I handle payroll for technicians
I submit extended warranty releases for vehicles purchased from us having work done at other dealers

Plus much more those are just the most time consuming ones. Is asking for $120k unrealistic? I know it’s a 50% increase but most people in the area make $80k for less volume and to ONLY handle warranty nothing else.

Vet recommendations

I believe my dog had a partial blockage or possibly something else wrong with her. I’ll keep it short and sweet but she’s also very high energy and very friendly. Because of this, vets don’t run any testing when she gets sick and I take her in. I’m looking for a vet that will listen to me rather than rush us in and out. We were going to Arrowhead, and when I took her in as an emergency last time (at their recommendation mind you) they told me I was over reacting and all dogs in Colorado have upset stomachs from time to time. Then said because she was happy to see them they wouldn’t run any testing. Despite me saying she actually pretty mellow compared to usual.
Fast forward she’s had 3 more episodes, the most recent has me concerned something is very wrong.

Dog running or hiking

Hello! Does anyone know of a service that offers dog runs or even hikes for dogs? I work really long hours and have a foot injury so I’m struggling to keep my girl properly exercised. We utilize mentally stimulating activities and toys as often as possible. But sometimes I can tell she just wants to sniff and run.
She’s extremely high energy. Also very sweet and loving but when she isn’t exercised well she gets major anxiety. I’d probably want 2-4 times a month depending on pricing. I would love recommendations for trusted businesses that could provide this for me. I googled this but every one I found doesn’t come to Broomfield. Thank you!

Would you choose discount and convenience or reliability? Ford, Toyota, or Honda

Hello! I am looking to upgrade to a larger SUV that I can fit 2 kennels in the back for my dogs. I work at a ford dealer so my initial thought was I should go for the Ford explorer. The discount on the car + the convenience of having all the work done there at my workplace (plus discounts on parts and labor once warranty runs out) is enticing at first. BUT I see all the issues they have so then I think maybe I should look at a Honda or Toyota instead for long term reliability. Would it be a dumb financial move to do that? Would you pick the discount and convenience or the reliability ? Curious everyone’s thoughts and personal experiences with an explorer, grand highlander, and passport/pilot (can’t decide which one fits my needs best)

Should I ask for raise?

Hello everyone! I am currently a warranty admin for a large ford dealership in Colorado. I perform a lot of duties outside the “warranty admin” role, I’ve helped eliminate quite a few positions by taking over the tasks and simplifying them and I also have taken over a lot of my managers tasks

I’ve been with this dealer for exactly 3 years, (4 years in total doing this role) I started at $23 an hour and after I received all my training certifications i was bumped to $25. After my 1 year my manager added a monthly bonus to my pay plan and within a few months bumped me to $27/hr plus the bonus. I was working 10+ hour days Monday- Saturday and spending most nights and sundays working from home. I never requested my work from hours be paid (I should have I know) I already had so much overtime and the CFO was not happy. Because of the overtime they put me on a salary last June and suggested we hire an assistant for me. I calculated how much i was pacing to make (without my WFH hours because I assumed I wouldn’t be working from home as much if I had a helper) and presented the total to my manager, that’s how we came to $80k salary. I thought this was a fantastic pay and I’d worked so hard to get to that point, I was satisfied. But unfortunately I’ve gone through 5 assistants since that time and I’m now back to doing the work on my own. My most recent assistant was able to at least take one of the roles I had previously eliminated and relieve me of those tasks. But I’m back to working 9-12 hour days M-S and working from home every Sunday. I previously told my boss if an assistant didn’t work out and I ended up back to my heavy workload I’d want to discuss my pay again. The problem is, he’s lately made a lot of comments about us being slow and joking that “I’m gonna lose so much money this month I’ll have to take some of your check” (which obviously he’s joking but it is poor taste). With it being slow I’m not sure he’d justify a raise. But I am responsible for a LOT, I can’t take a vacation without working while I’m gone. There is so much I do that nobody else can cover for me while I’m gone. I think I’m under paid for my workload/responsibility level. After talking with other warranty admins in the area, most are making what I make to ONLY perform warranty admin tasks. I realize not many people advance as fast as I did in 3 years and I’m definitely grateful for what I’ve received so far. should I approach about it or wait for it to pick back up and get busy again? How should I approach him about it without sounding like a jerk saying I do most of his job ? lol

[CO] Need advice for my boss’s comments

So, I work in service dept at a dealership and I’m the only girl in my department. My boss has recently been making comments about me and another coworker (who’s married) “banging” he’s made really crude explicit comments. Told me that said coworker would probably want to sniff my used underwear, and MUCH much more. It’s nearly daily at this point. I ignored him the first few times, then finally told him it was getting old and it was inappropriate. He just laughs and continues making jokes about it. I reported it to my HR and she straight up told me she hates women because we’re so sensitive and my boss is “just like that” what do I do? He’s starting to talk to other employees in the department about it, spreading the rumor even further.
Not much bothers me, I’m working in a male dominated field so I have to have thick skin. But these comments are honestly making me uncomfortable and could potentially hurt my coworkers marriage if it continues. My HR isn’t taking it seriously so I feel like I’m at a loss here

Reduce paper usage

Im a warranty admin at a large dealer and I’m trying to convince my dealer to go towards a paperless route with our RO’s (I know there’s mixed feelings) for multiple reasons but 1 being I’m drowning in paperwork and wasting a lot of man hours printing, stapling, just to remove staples and scan it all into a cloud. I’m drowning in paperwork constantly and struggle to keep it all organized. Does anyone have experience with options that work with dealertrack or is it a whole new DMS system to go paperless? Curious everyone’s experience and thoughts
