How do you fully wash a 12-month-old in a baby/toddler bathtub?

Weird logistics question. We have the Frida Baby 4-in-1 Grow-with-Me bathtub and I should’ve taken the little mesh sling out months ago, but I cannot figure out how to clean baby’s privates/bottom without it. My approach is terrible, I’ve basically been draining almost all of the water out of her little tub and pulling her feet way up so her head is uncomfortably lying at the bottom of the tub and she’s torquing around like a little shark. There has to be a better way to do this. For the rest of the bath, it seems clear that she needs to just be sitting up in the tub. I can wash everything else except her privates/bottom this way. It seems dangerous to have her stand up in any way. Any tips?

Feedback needed

You guys were so helpful with my last post so I’m back for more feedback. First pic is my plate, second is potential plate for baby. She’s 8.5 months old and we introduced solids at 6 months, but are only just starting to try out actual meals rather than individual foods.

I blended up the tomatoes and shallots to create a more saucy texture and mixed the orzo into that (solid starts said that would make it less likely to trigger gagging) then flaked the salmon. The orzo is making me kind of nervous though. Could I maybe mix in some water so the tomatoes are more of a sauce? Should I remove some of the orzo?

Is there a way to feed this to an 8.5 month old?

Dish is roasted broccoli rabe with white beans, burrata and oranges. I made it after baby went to bed but want my husband to give her some part of it tomorrow. I’m trying to start giving her actual meals (we started with solids at 6 mos but have mostly been doing individual foods so far) but I’m struggling with how to give her a portion thats in a safe format. I feel like the broccoli rabe isn’t cooked enough for a baby and is too crunchy so we may omit that. I guess he could mush up the beans and the oranges? The burrata should be fine.

Deep tissue massage recs in Georgetown area

I want to gift my husband a really good massage and maybe a facial for his birthday and I’m hoping for some recs in the Georgetown area or at least NW DC. He is pretty particular about massages, he’s into the ones that are so intense that they almost hurt (I guess that would be deep tissue massage?) I’ve gifted him a few in the past and they were ultimately a little unsatisfying for him because they were “too gentle.” I feel like some places advertise deep tissue massage but have a much lighter touch than we’re expecting. It would be nice to find a place that also offers facials and other treatments (he doesn’t take great care of his skin but he feels like a million bucks after a mask etc) but the focus is on a truly deep/strong massage.

Oh also, are there any local bakeries you guys especially like for bday cakes? We used to do Cakeroom but I find their cakes pretty dry honestly. I’ve done Milk Bar for the past few years and while they make excellent cakes, I’m thinking I should switch it up this year. TIA!

Ripped the dryer vent hose near where it feeds into the wall, can I repair this myself?

It’s ripped at about the same point all the way around. I got some of that metal foil tape and another dryer vent hose that I could add in to bridge the gap, would that work? Is it an issue that the rip is so near where the hose feeds into the wall?

Had no idea infants can sometimes just…amuse themselves?

My 7 month old has been on our living room rug just quietly amusing herself with zero adult intervention for the past 45 minutes. I laid down near her for awhile and just closed my eyes, then I made myself a snack and some tea, all the awhile she’s just been rolling around grabbing different toys and whacking them together, looking at her little flash cards etc. Just like content. In the past few weeks I’ve discovered she’ll do the same thing if I set her in her pack and play next to me on the deck while I read. She rolls around, mouths her toys, looks up at the sky and is just generally happy and chill. I had NO idea babies had an independent mode.
