Has anyone had a good egg retrieval/embryo result without taking any supplements?

I can’t take supplements because my AST/ALT(liver)go up whenever I take them, so I did not take any prenatal, CoQ10, or even folic acid. I’ll be starting IVF soon and seeing everyone taking so many supplements makes me a little nervous 😅

Would love to hear from anyone who took nothing before retrieval and still had good results!

Acupuncture during IVF - what was your schedule and do you think it helped?

Hi everyone!
I’m starting my first IVF cycle soon and I’m curious about everyone’s experience with acupuncture. I can not eat any supplements, because when I eat any supplements. My asthma and alt related my liver will high.
My acupuncturist recommended:
1 session about a week before stimulation
2 sessions during stimulation
1 session the week before embryo transfer
2 sessions during the 2 weeks leading up to transfer
1 session the day before transfer
For those who did acupuncture:
What was your schedule?
Did your fertility clinic recommend it or was it your acupuncturist?
Do you think it helped with egg quality, embryo quality, implantation, or was it mainly for stress relief?
If you could do IVF again, would you still do acupuncture?
I’d love to hear your experiences. Thanks!

Is ICSI worth it if there is no male factor?

Hi everyone,
doing IVF for recurrent pregnancy loss (not infertility). My husband’s semen analysis and DNA fragmentation are both super good. and we’re planning to do PGT-A.
I’m trying to decide whether ICSI is worth it.
I have a few questions:
If you had no male factor infertility, did you choose ICSI or conventional IVF?
Did ICSI actually improve your fertilization rate compared with conventional IVF?
how much did ICSI cost?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!

Is anyone else starting with such a low-dose stimulation protocol?

My tentative protocol is:
Gonal-F/Follistim 75 IU
Menopur 75 IU
Provera 10 mg
Dual trigger (Lupron + Ovidrel)
Compared to what I’ve seen from others, my medication doses seem pretty low. Has anyone else started with a similar protocol? If so, how did you respond, and how many eggs were retrieved?
AMH 5.25
Reason for IVF: recurrent loss
age 29f 28m

Insurance timeline

Hi everyone!
I have UnitedHealthcare insurance
My follow-up appointment to discuss my IVF protocol is on 7/27, and my next period is expected around 8/8.
I’m wondering how long it took for your IVF cycle authorization and fertility medication authorization to be approved with UHC.
Do you think it’s realistic that I could still start stimulation with my August cycle, or did the authorization process take longer?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Normal SIS but Still Need Hysteroscopy?

Has anyone had a normal saline sonogram (no definite polyp seen) but was still required to have a hysteroscopy before starting IVF stimulation? My doctor won’t let me start stimulation until after the hysteroscopy. Is this common?
