Is there any reason why Canada shouldn’t adopt the citizenship based tax system the US has?
Would this not help deter citizens of convenience and money laundering issues plaging the country?

On that typically only a program director or higher can override a policy.
There is not infinite money, there is a budget. When advocating for a person is there any cost benefit analysis done? Or need vs want conversation had? Other more realistic options looked at?
People lie ALOT when trying to get money / cheap housing. Do social worker ever look for objective evidence or do they just believe everything someone tells them?
I am sorry if this offends anyone but I feel like the answer is no to all of these. I got into my job to help people but instead I get harrassed by social workers (and OT’s) about why the newest iPhone/ iPad isn’t covered for someone with ADHD. Or why trampoline can’t be considered a medical device someone with autism. Or why a parent can’t be paid to be looking after their own child ( child is under 5 years old). Recently there is an uptick it request funding for illegal immigrants many with pending criminal charges ( theft, assault, rape) . I am just trying to understand the thought process where our country is on the verge of bankruptcy and at risk of losing all of our social safety nets.
*I am case manager for a government program . My team is spending more time arguing about personal feelings and subjective opinions of social workers about things that are drifting so far outside the scope of the program and nowhere near basic needs for people, that that it is causing statically a decrease in ability to run the program.
Is everyone a victim of the system by default?
Reading the amount of fraud and mismanagement and nothing being done about is getting old. As a country we are committing suicide by social justice. What would happen if a large amount of us withheld paying tax off each paycheque?
