Thought I'd share my craziest dashing story from back in 2020 (car stolen)

It was September. I was 18 and delivering in a part of Vegas that isn't the best but is definitely not among the worst. I was driving a beat up old yellow chevy cavalier, delivering food to some apartments just before sunset. I parked a few buildings down from the correct building by mistake, and once I got out of the car and started walking, I was approached by 3 teenagers. They started asking questions like "what building are you looking for".

Before I knew it, I was punched in the face and demanded to hand over my keys and wallet. I didn't hesitate, because it was 3-to-1 and I didn't see any way out. I managed to convince them to let me keep my phone, but they started to take off with my car. (They also tool the customer's food).

There were a few older adult observers on their porch, who refused to help me. I think it was a sort of gang initiation. I found the customer shortly after, and they helped me gather myself and contact the police.

The teens were caught by the police the next morning, attempting to rob a gas station after running out of gas in my car less than a block away 😂😂

It was a little trashed inside and items missing but I got the car back and was able to drive it. Was definitely way more cautious in the years following and never had another incident similar.
