Information for guests - have I missed anything - and should we save the bits in square brackets for a further information sheet handed out on the day?

Information for guests of the wedding of Aryna and Jannik on Saturday 11 July 2026

  1. The nearest underground stations are both about a 10 minute walk away: Bond Street (Elizabeth and Jubilee lines) and Baker Street (Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith and City lines).

  2. The nearest mainline stations are Paddington (30 minute walk) and Marylebone (16 minute walk).

  3. Parking in central London, even when booked in advance, is not cheap – and you would also need to pay the Congestion Charge Zone fee of £15. Using public transport is likely to be a better option for most guests. If you do drive, the nearest car parks are Euro Car Parks Marylebone Square (3 minute walk) and CityPark, Portman Square (9 minute walk).

  4. The church will be open all day so you can arrive as early as you like. Mass will start promptly at 3pm and there will be some organ music played before mass starts.

5.[ The church requires everyone to have their phones switched off.]

  1. [The church has toilets in the crypt, which are best reached via the staircase on the Blandford Street side of the church.]

  2. [Neither the church nor the hotel has a fire alarm test scheduled on a Saturday afternoon, so if an alarm does go off it will be genuine.]

  3. [Only practising Catholics should receive communion. Anyone else is welcome to come up for a blessing, denoting a request for a blessing with arms crossed on your chest.]

  4. After mass there will be some photographs and drinks followed by a 3-course meal. We expect proceedings to conclude by 8pm.

  5. [During photographs, please ensure that phones, drinks and anything other than a handbag or hat is out of sight.]

  6. If you have any special dietary requirements, please remember to state those on the RSVP card.

Stationary air conditioning

When the car powers down, one of the options is stationary air conditioning. Does anyone know how long it stays on? Is it like the 'interior monitoring' that stays as you set it until you return to the car or does the stationary air conditioning work for only a limited amount of time?

station parking - space available at 11am and ease of payment

For parking at about 11am on a Monday morning to catch a train where is the best place to park?

Last time I caught a train from Swindon I parked in the North Star car park, which was great in the morning (bridge from car park to station) but the bridge was closed in the evening and it was a long walk in the dark and rain back to my car via the tunnel.

Also I hate aps – would much rather go somewhere that has a ticket machine!

PS With the help from my son who is an IT expert I managed to get the APCOA ap installed - took 18 minutes on phone to him.
