Enyaq MY27 Upgrades: I was upgraded for free + more technical info

So, I ordered my Enyaq RS Coupe middle of February. Delivery was expected between July and September, with production happening somewhere middle of June. When I read the news about the technical upgrades with MY27, I called my dealership and made clear, that I wanted a MY27 vehicle obviously - which I was not getting with my initial production date. But my sales guy promised to have a look into the case. Yesterday, he had me sign a form that states, that I will be upgraded to MY27 and that I accept the technical differences - which are mainly down to the battery. The upgrade will be done without adjusting the price. I also received a one pager showing all the differences between the MY26 and MY27. It is in German, but you will manage 😉

Car not charging

I've got a 2024 Sportline 85x, which I charge at home using a Zappi charger with Octopus Intelligent Go. For the past couple of days, after connecting the car to the charger in the evening, I get the "we couldn't connect to your car" message from Octopus. I tried removing the charger from the octopus app and added the car, and I can tell thst Octopus does see the car because it can read the battery level, but for some reason, the car just can't charge.

Has anyone had a similar issue when your car doesn't charge even when everything else is working as expected?

For what is worth, I didn't make any changes to the setup, the charger or the octopus app before the car stopped charging.

Seat ventilation -- how do you like it?

Every summer as I sweat I swear my next car will have seat ventilation. Those who have it in your Enyaq (only available in L&K, if I'm not mistaken) -- what is the experience?

3D-printed bracket for connecting bike fork mount to car headrest posts

First 3D-printing design 🙂

I was nervous about whether the measurements would be good enough, but it was right first time.

New Map Error

Is there a way to report map errors? In the past couple of weeks we've had local roadworks that closed a layby on each carriageway of a dual carriageway (A1 N&S in East Lothian. The car navigation seemed to think that the main carriageways were closed and tried to divert me by driving in and out of the laybys. Now the roadworks are done but the car keeps slowing down ready to turn into the layby.

Can this be reported? It's another of those quirks that could be quite dangerous if you weren't expecting the car to rapidly slow down!

Is a high-mileage 2022 Škoda Enyaq iV80 (100k–190k km) worth it on a budget?

Hi everyone,

I’m in Hungary and considering a used Enyaq iV80, but most within my budget have high mileage (100,000–190,000 km).

Lower-mileage options here are mostly iV50s or basic iV60s, but I’d really prefer the iV80 for:
Bigger battery / better range
Better comfort
More features for family use

My Usage:
Mostly city driving
Around one 200 km road trip per two months
Family car, 2 small kids.

My concerns:
Battery health / degradation
Warranty
Heavy fast charging history
Suspension / wear
Resale value

What I’d look for:
Good SOH
Full service history
No major accidents
Good price advantage

Would a high-mileage iV80 still make sense, or is a lower-mileage iV50/iV60 the smarter move?

Would you buy one, and what would be your dealbreakers?

Thanks for your honest opinion.

Travel assist disappointing?

Hey all. As per the title really. Is anyone else disappointed with the ‘travel assist plus’ ?
After approximately 10 seconds, the system has a right flap and tells me to put my hands on the wheel, before disconnecting shortly after. I know it’s not a self driving car, and the clue is in the name ‘assist’ , but coming from Audi and VW ICE cars, it seems much less capable of holding its own on a motorway with this function on. Both ICE cars would hold their position, unaided for much longer and I’ve Also found that both ICE cars had much more customisation in terms of the lane assist which the Skoda does not.
Do I basically just need to manage my own expectations a bit better here?

MEB retrofit / gateway issue after OTA updates? Anyone experienced this?

Hi,
I have a 2023 Škoda Enyaq (MEB platform) and recently ran into a strange issue related to retrofit functions and possibly the gateway module.
The car apparently hasn’t received proper OTA updates for a long time, and now diagnostics in service have trouble communicating with some modules. One technician mentioned the gateway could be the problem.
There is also a retrofit installed (parking/assistance related), and I’m wondering if that could somehow block or interfere with OTA updates or communication on the bus.
Did anyone here experience:
gateway failure on MEB,
OTA updates not arriving for years,
retrofit causing communication problems,
or needing gateway replacement after retrofit work?
Would appreciate any experience from VW ID / Enyaq / Cupra Born owners.
Thanks.

Issue with the charging flap on my Enyaq iV 60.

Hi, I’m having an issue with the charging flap on my Enyaq iV 60.

The car has battery and unlocks normally, but the charging flap will not open. I have tried unlocking it multiple times with the remote, doing several lock/unlock cycles, and also using the interior lock/unlock button. I also tried pressing the flap gently while unlocking, but it still stays shut.
I do not want to force it open and risk breaking the mechanism. There is no obvious click or release sound from the flap area, so I’m starting to think the actuator or locking mechanism may be stuck or faulty.
Has anyone had the exact same issue, and if so, how was it fixed?

Edit: just dropped the car into the garage there, they’re saying it’ll be two weeks to fix it. Jesus Christ, everything in Ireland has a massive queue.

Why does the coupe exist?

I work in product design and find the Enyaq, particularly the pre-facelift an exceptional feat of design, probably one of Skoda's best ever.

It takes the polygonal sharp angles of Bohemian crystal to reference it's Chech heritage. It's subtly agressive but nothing is overly emphasized. It's the only MEB car that managed to design a cohesive car over the battery pack without making it look stocky and awkward like most EVs where you can't tell if you are looking at sn SUV or some weird tall car with big wheels.

And then we have the coupe. a sports car? but tall? why? It looks like one of those DIY projects where someone stuck a compact car body on a Jeep chassis. I know it's subjective, but I just can't wrap my head around the idea of an SUV Coupe. Its conflicting design language really bothers me. Same goes for the Q4 Sportback and ID.5

2021 vs 2023 Enyaq: mileage or model year?

I’ve been reading this sub for a while and it’s honestly one of the reasons I’m now looking seriously at buying an Enyaq.

My budget is around 20,000€-25,000€ used, which basically means choosing between:

2021 models with lower mileage.

or 2022-2023 models with much higher mileage.

From reading here, it seems like most people are happy with the car and the main issue was older software. So my question is:

If both cars are already on ME3.x , and similar battery health, does the model year still matter a lot? Or are they more or less the same in practice? I care mostly about reliability.

I’m trying to understand how much weight I should give to each factor. Also if you have any tips on what to look or not look for, that would be greatly appreciated!

Problems with Spotify App

Hello Enyaq community,

3 days ago i received my new Skoda Enyaq from dealership. Really liking the car so far.

But i have a problem with the built in Spotify app (Android Auto works). It will not load anymore/is stuck on startup. It worked for the first day, then got stuck in that state.

I have tried fully restarting Infotainment system, but that did not fix it, sadly. Does anyone here maybe have a solutuon/idea?

Thx in advance :)

Edit: tried a full reset of the car to factory. That fixed the problem. I believe the problem is somehow tied to the user in the infotainment system.

Custom grill

Love the car but the thing that have bothered me from the beginning is the plastic grill. Would love to replace it with something like a custom honeycomb grill but yet to find one. Anyone have experience in creating a bespoke?

Enyak vs Id4 NVH

Hi there. I know basically it's the same car.

But devil is hidden in the details.

Is enyak as good as id4 regarding sound insulation?

I have an id4 pro max ( dcc, double glass etc) and i hate the armrest.

Yet i enjoy it because it's the quietest car ever for my budget.

Is Enyaq as good as id4 regarding this aspect ( and comfort in general?

Would you buy?

2021 Enyaq iV Suite

47,000 miles.

Plenty of extras, but matrix headlights and Pano roof missing.

1 year warranty.

£18,900

But...battery health has come back at 88%.

Am I being a prick worrying about 4% as

I'd have said yes already at 92%.
