My first model in over a decade!

I need to clean it up some, and put some details in (teef!) and get better at the drybrushing phase. But I like the colour scheme, so thats a start.

Now, do I paint them all with the purple skin, or do I do blue and magenta in the unit. Decisions.

Southeast Michigan store: where can I play?

I want to learn to play, and use my pule of minis I already have while I start to get back into the hobby.

Im getting desperate though in finding a store with even a couple people that actually play at the store - any stores you k ow of that support OPR and have play space?

Help me find an army for my son!

I'll be printing up some models for him from these two sets for him to paint with. He is also interested in learning to play a game with them, and OPR lets him play these against my 49K Orks.

Orks are easy. I don't need help there, lol.

But what would a good army set be for a unit of 10ish guys (3 pistols 3 arrows 4 assault rifles) a spider or two, and the Traink (train tank)?

The easiest solution i can think of is the OPR Tau analog, but these are clockwork specifically and thats what he likes so if there's an army set closer (maybe dealing with time shenanigans) than tau he'd love that.

Thoughts?

Grimdark Firefight Rules Q!

I played Warmachine MKII back in the day, and am now getting into 40K aesthtic Ork models (including the OPR orc range).

The Rules say "Note that the base size that you use doesn't matter, as long as yoy keep base sizes consistent across all models".

Makes sense.

But, the question that comes up when I suggested playing with my old MKII friends who have an army on warmachine bases, but I want to use my new Orks, because they are new and shiny is: Does this rule mean each player must be consistent within their own army, or does it mean that all players must be consistent within all armies?

Thanks!

Looking for a beginner friendly game with....

Backstory: I've been working on some 40K orks. My Son (13) is interested, but not in any of the 40K armies. No big deal, theres a lot of options in the world, right?

So many options that its overwhelming, tbh.

The question: what is a good, beginner friendly, skirmish game that is (or can be without too much difficulty) miniature agnostic and would fit some Ork BoyZ vs. Clockwork Men?

The Side Question: We've been scouring the internet for *any* game or company with units of clockwork automatons. So far, we have not found any...do you have any recommendations?

Bonus points for a game that is even more simple and can be played by my 12 year old with sea creatures.
