Okay, so I'm a little freaked out while I'm typing this.

Recently, I went to this store that was selling this little novelty item called a One Wish Willow. It's this stick that you break while making a wish, and then that wish will apparently come true.

I've also been working at this store for a while, and I'll admit... I have a crush on this one girl who also works there. She's super pretty and I just get these little tingles in my stomach when I talk to her. We also hung out together at this bar for trivia night with two other co-workers.

I drop her off at her place and she asks me if I like her. I basically act like a total dumbass and say that we're good friends. I got mad at myself, so I took the One Wish Willow and made a wish with it. I wished that she would love me more than anything in the fucking world.

Suddenly, she comes back to my car and we're back at my place. I guess we start things pretty solid, but... she's also acting a bit weird. It's almost like she's kinda crazy? Like, she's not herself. She's not the girl I knew all this time.

I'm starting to think my wish had something to do with this. So, people of the internet, am I an asshole?

So for context, I have a crush on this girl that I've known since childhood. However, she recently started dating this fancy pants district attorney. And as much as I hate to admit it, he's a good guy for her. Though I kept hoping that she would one day come back to me.

But recently, my work life has been getting mixed in with her. I work in a position that tackles crime, you see. And with my work, there's this one guy that I've been trying to catch that's been giving the city hell.

We caught the guy, but then he reveals that he's kidnapped the fancy pants lawyer and my childhood crush. I only have time to save one of them, and I decide to go for my childhood crush. When I get there, I find the lawyer instead.

She ends up dying while fancy pants gets injured badly. And even worse, the guy I caught managed to escape. What do I do? I've tried talking to my butler, but now I'm here.
