Image 1 — Managed to capture a breeding pair of Golden Takins. I wanted to give them a pleasant place to stay, so threw this thing together. I'll add more daub to the walls later, for now I kinda like the rugged look.

Don't forget, where you place lights matter with the Lumen lighting engine

When lights bounce off a dark surface, like the floor, you don't get a lot of brightness.

When lights bounce off a white surface, like the walls, you get a lot of brightness.

TIL that you can make window corners diagonal

Since the official sub's mods consider this a "sPoiLeR", thought I'd post it here instead. :P

You know, that little half-circle UI element that shows up in external camera views. I don't see an option for it anywhere. Basically, it would be really nice to have that on the screen when I look out the driver side window when making reverse maneuvers.

I only gave the new feature a very cursory try, but when I tried to use it together with the mining designations, it was either/or, enabling one disabled the other.

Hopefully it's just a small oversight that will be "fixed" in an upcoming update, but it does feel like the most obvious use-case.

Observe!

We have two distinct sections on that waterfront. One with pure stone, and one with a mixture of dirt and stone.

Both the top and bottom are the same level everywhere.

The sections that have the mixed materials have a good enough slope that can maintain integrity all the way to -5, but the part with stone alone cannot. Every time the excavator digs it out, the top collapses down.

If mixing materials results in a more stable slope, I wonder what mixture would be the most stable.
