Bin auf der Xbox mit dem selben Account seit 2008 unterwegs.
Meine erste eigene Konsole damals vom Azubi-Gehalt gekauft — eine Xbox 360 Elite. 😄

Danach ging’s weiter mit:
Xbox One → Xbox Series S → schließlich 2022 die Series X, als man sie endlich wieder normal bekommen hat.
Insgesamt habe ich inzwischen über 170.000 Gamerscore gesammelt. 🎮

Irgendwann habe ich aber gemerkt, dass Xbox nicht mehr ganz meine Gaming Welt ist.
Deshalb habe ich mir damals eine PS5 Digital (FAT) geholt und darauf Spiele wie The Last of Us, God of War und Death Stranding gespielt und war komplett begeistert.

Mit dem Release der PS5 Pro war dann für mich klar, dass PlayStation ab jetzt mein Main-System wird.
Habe mir direkt die PS5 Pro mit Laufwerk geholt und seitdem ist sie meine Hauptkonsole.

Vor 3 Monaten konnte ich dann noch ziemlich günstig eine Switch 2 ergattern.
Bisher habe ich darauf zwar noch nicht so viel gespielt, aber aktuell endlich mal BOTW angefangen. 😄

Bin echt gespannt, was auf der Switch 2 noch alles kommt vor allem freue ich mich auf Duskbloods und endlich die ganzen Nintendo Klassiker nachzuholen, die ich verpasst habe.
(Hatte früher nie eine Switch, nur eine Wii U.)

Dazu der Philips OLED760
Die Switch 2 läuft bei mir hauptsächlich für Nintendo Exclusives & Couch Koop mit Familie/Freunden auf der PS5 Pro dann die großen Third Party Titel.
Die Halo Series X sieht zwar brutal gut aus, läuft aber ehrlich gesagt aktuell am wenigsten 😄

Bin mit der Kombi aber echt maximal zufrieden.

I need some advice about my Xbox setup and airflow.

Right now my Xbox Series X is placed inside a TV stand compartment. I tried both positions:

– horizontal (lying down)

– vertical (standing up, fan facing forward)

I’ve attached some pictures of both setups.

My concern is that the space might be too enclosed and the console can’t get enough airflow. There’s not much open space above or behind it, and I’m worried about heat buildup during longer gaming sessions.

Putting it on top of the TV stand is unfortunately not an option because I have kids, so it needs to stay somewhere lower/secured.

Do you think this setup is okay, or should I move it to a more open (but still safe) spot?

How much space does the Series X actually need around it?

My PS5 Pro is mounted on the wall behind the TV cabinet, so if I place the Series X vertically inside the shelf, the heat would blow directly toward my brand-new OLED — which I really want to avoid.

I also don’t like the look of having a console sitting on top of the TV stand. And with my kids constantly turning it on and off all day… yeah, that’s not really an option either 😅

After reading all your comments, I think I’ll either mount it behind the TV like I did with my PS5 (you can check my other post), or just keep it like in picture 1 and pull it slightly out of the shelf when I’m playing.
