I have two offers and would appreciate outside perspective

Option 1 — Abu Dhabi: Admin Coordinator with a construction/engineering contractor doing subcontract work on ADNOC projects. AED 2,500 basic, plus AED 1,500 when offshore. Food, accommodation and transport fully company-paid. Direct payroll, not agency. Entry permit already issued.

Option 2 — India: Analyst II at a procurement intelligence firm, fully remote from India, 3–4 days a year onsite. Salary works out roughly equivalent to the UAE offer in in-hand terms.

Background: 3 years as a market research analyst in Bahrain, plus an MBA in Business Analytics.

What’s pulling me to Abu Dhabi: everything’s covered so savings are much higher, tax-free, and it gets me back to the Gulf.

Has anyone made a similar move? Does Gulf experience at a lower title open doors later, or does the title follow you?

Someone gave me a referral at Accenture but I already applied directly should I withdraw and reapply through the referral link? Scared the portal will block me

Hey everyone,

So a really kind person offered me a referral for a position at Accenture. The problem is I already applied for the same role directly before getting the referral.

Now I’m confused about what to do:
1. Should I withdraw my current application and reapply using the referral link?
2. If I withdraw, will the portal throw an error saying “application already exists” when I try to reapply through the referral?
3. Or should I just leave my existing application as is and not risk anything?

My current application status has been stuck on “Application Received” since 5th May and hasn’t moved at all.

I really don’t want to mess this up the referral could genuinely help but I’m scared of breaking something on the portal or losing both applications in the process.

Has anyone been through this situation? Especially if anyone from HR or who knows how Accenture’s recruitment portal works could help, that would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance 🙏
