The Three For Three Podcast is back for our first special of season 4 and we take things too far in the name of ‘Merica! We couldn’t think of a wilder way to celebrate America on The Fourth of July than to pick 3 amazing movies to talk about that describe our history. First Matt helps us look to a not too far off future with the undeniable classic, Independence Day. Then Jackson takes us all the way back to our foundation with The Patriot. Last up, Sam brings the heat with one of the best Tom Cruise roles to ever exist in Born on the Fourth of July and his struggles with the Vietnam War. Starting off strong, Matt takes us abroad to Italy with our first time watching The Lizzie McGuire Movie!, Sam takes things back to the dark side with David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence. Will he take things too far in his search to expose the monster known as Tom Stall? Jackson wraps it out with Zenon: Z3 where he’ll leave us singing Zoom Zoom Zoom! The next episode of Three For Three has been delayed a day but while we all wait for its release we have last weeks set of movies. 3 movies that all involve a mid life crisis that’ll have lasting effects on our main characters. Starting off Jackson returns Orson Welles to this podcast with his 1962 masterpiece, The Trial! Matt has Another Round all the way from Denmark with Mads Mikkelson in one of the best films to come out this decade. Last up, Sam takes us back to 1970 in Bob Raffelson’s follow up to Head, Five Easy Pieces starring the one and only, Jack Nicholson. Hello! It’s officially the weekend, not Watching For the Weekend as our hosts want you to believe but instead, a new episode of the Three For Three Podcast! We are back with a fired up yet sleepy episode this week. Our host, Matt takes on a journey to the battle that Steve Jobs and Bill Gates waged on each other in the TNT Original TV Movie, The Pirates of Silicon Valley. On the other side of the world Sam is enjoying his very first Truffaut film, The 400 Blows! History is in the making this week as we top it off with yet another genre defining experience and Jackson’s first Nicolas Winding Refn watch, Ryan Goosling returns a second week in a row in the film Drive! Join the Three For Three Podcast as we explore one of our darkest episodes yet! Sam is hosting this week so per usual things get a little off the rails but to kick things off we dive into the sweet happy sad movie that is Matt’s pick, Lars and the Real Girl. One of the best performances Ryan Gosling has ever given hands down. Next up is the big kahuna. The boys didn’t know what they were getting themselves into with Obsession but we undoubtedly witnessed one of the movies of the year if not the last few. To round things out Sam takes us to Iran for one of the most melancholic films to exist, Taste of Cherry. Warning for those who are going through a rough time but maybe that’s time you need to see it the most. Season 4 of the show has been bigger and better with each episode we cannot wait to bring more great movies to you.
