I am male (34) and someone who identifies as practically asexual, and I have had a best friend (32) for many years with whom I have been comfortable with making ironic gay jokes. He swears he is straight, and he has only dated women.
A few years ago he started calling me every day, and we had been speaking for sometimes hours a day for the last number of years. One time a little over a year ago he asked me out of the blue when I was driving him "what would you do if I touched your dick?" I didn't really know how to respond, but I thought it was just another one of our jokes to each other, even though mine have never been that direct and have always been in response to something. He also squeezed my butt randomly on a couple of different occasions, which I just ignored.
We were a few weeks later at dinner, during which he randomly swiped his finger against my thigh. Again, having had almost no experience with any of this, I just thought it was a funny gesture and did the same to him. He then did it back to me; we kept going back and forth. A few weeks after this he stopped talking to me entirely, saying that I did not respect HIS boundaries. Nothing I do to try and mend things or reach out to him has stuck. It has been over a year since we stopped being in touch.
I miss him terribly and cannot stop thinking about him. I had no friends growing up, and he really became the friend I always dreamed of. What is the likelihood he was just doing all of this to toy with my head and did not actually feel attracted to me?
Chase approved my price match claim, but it lowered the amount it is refunding me below the delta between the equivalent rate I paid and the rate available via Kayak. I called Chase, and I was told there is no way for them to substantiate the lower refund or how they got to that number. When I said I would just cancel and rebook since the rate today on Kayak is even lower, they said that wouldn't work as it is a "consideration" they take into account when deciding how much to refund.
This seems incredibly arbitrary and subjective for something that is essentially objective. Has anyone else had this experience? How do I get the amount that I believe I am rightfully due since I can clearly show I have met all criteria and that the difference is greater than what they are giving me back as of now.
I moved countries to pursue a professional career in a different country and in a different language. I have simply not been able to get my footing in my field in this country and have been unemployed for over a year, despite having good credentials and simply being in a professional field where there is not much work at the moment.
I am 34M and do not see myself ever getting married or having children. I am also a good investor and have been able to save over $500,000 USD liquid so far. I also come from a very successful professional family: both of my parents have been successful physicians. They are divorced and each have more than 5 million liquid saved at the least, and I am quite certain they do not plan to divert their money mostly to anyone but me and my sister and they also have a few million worth of real estate.
I hate not doing anything all day, but I have so far had such toxic and shitty jobs I just don't know what to do with my life. I have also gone through so many years of hard schooling, most of which I haven't even liked. What would your approach be?

I worked very hard to go to prestigious universities. I moved countries to go to law school and became fluent in another language to practice law in the jurisdiction. But I have just not been accepted into the job market. After being laid off, I cannot find another job in law for the life of me. I just simply think there is barely a market where I am. But I happen to love where I live otherwise.
I hate not exercising my intellectual and professional capabilities, but I come from a lot of money to put it clearly. My parents have both been successful professionals individually, and I have been a very talented investor with the little money I have been able to invest myself. I have no plans of getting married or having kids. I just always wanted to be engaged intellectually from a professional perspective, and I see almost no chance of this happening based on the corner I have put myself in.
What would you be thinking if you yourself had by your 30s at least 5 years of expenses liquid saved, and your parents were worth at least $10 million combined but had high expectations for you? Would you just be okay relaxing in perpetuity knowing that money will likely not be an issue?
I am a 33M asexual who up until tonight had never had a full sexual encounter. In fact, up until 18 I had never masturbated or thought of doing so until I inadvertently discovered my fetish. I have never had a wet dream involving anyone else, solely the fetish.
I decided to meet another man whom I found pleasant looking enough. He seemed to like me personally, and once we started having sex I guess it became clear to him he was dealing with a functionally blind person inasmuch as sex is involved. But nonetheless he wanted to give me anal, which was actually not painful like I had thought before when someone else tried. During this I actually found it intriguing in a slightly enjoyable way. But I did not feel arousal down there for the most part, even though I was semi-erect. Even so, I found the energy kind of entertaining particularly when he orgasmed.
Right after this, it was clear he wanted nothing to do with me. So he wouldn't even do anything to make me finish. So I guess that's the dumpster fire people lament about the apps.
Are there any asexual men who have also had this experience? I am intrigued to try it out again, but does that then make me not as asexual I as I thought?
I have been unemployed for more than a year. I am a professionally-educated 30s male, unmarried, no kids and do not plan to do either. I happen to be very good with money and investing and have almost 800k in liquid investments. I also come from a successful family. I estimate my family to have at least 10 million dollars saved, but it is not in our style to have me just mooch of of them.
I just bought a condo where the total monthly cost will be around $3,300-$3,500 per month. Right now my rent is $3,150. I have been trying to get a job in my field for over a year, and it is a rather narrow field. I have no clue when I can get a job again.
Do you think this purchase makes sense for my situation? My logic was besides the fact that I found the place I really wanted to get at the price I wanted if I am already paying $3,150 for rent I might as well get a bunch of it back in principal.
What do you think?
