Ghazal
The command to dance that was given in the rivers
We joyfully chanted and tied ourselves to the whirlpools
They too are searching for a drenched scene
Which couldn’t even bloom a drop once in the deserts
Oh my travel companions, are you also weary
Don’t mix the sun with the shade
Whoever comes tells of a new remedy
May your sick not be divided among the healers
Who has the courage to buy Joseph
Now it’s just the discussions of inflation among the Zuleikhas
The Brahmin who said this year is good
Bury him in the lines of my hand
He is God, he must be in a broken heart
Don’t search for him in mosques or churches
They don’t let us love one another
This is the only flaw in the wise of this city
