Seems to be working? But one small problem.

Okay, so I posted a couple of weeks ago that I thought I had the hang of it this time. Looks like I might. It's a S - L - O - W go, but it IS going. I'm not weighing. I have "measuring clothes." My measuring shorts, which I could barely button when I started 18 days ago, are now just my shorts, because they fit and I can wear them. I have moved down to a smaller pair of measuring shorts, and they are quite snug around my midsection, but seem to be fitting a bit better every day.

It's hard not to get on the scale, but if I do and see that it hasn't moved -- or, God forbid, gone up -- I know I will get derailed. So I'm staying the course as-is for now.

I mostly eat the same thing for breakfast every day -- protein shake, zucchini muffin, berries or clementines. I'm still building my other meals and snacks around high-protein and zero-point foods. If I see I'm close to the top of my calorie bracket and I still have points left, I don't use them. If I've used all my points but I'm below my bracket, I'll allow myself some weeklies/activities.

So here's my problem: Bloating. I wake up with a flat stomach and feeling great. By the end of the day, I look 10 pounds heavier and mushy. I tend to drink a lot of La Croix (3 or 4 per day) and I'm wondering if this is it? I don't think it's dairy, because I don't have any other lactose intolerance symptoms like gas or stomach upset. Possibly wheat? I hope not. I love me some bread. Does anyone else have this from the carbonated drinks? I really hate to give them up, but I will if I have to.

Men's store from 2005-ish?

Hi! There was a store in Mobile around the early 2000s that carried polo shirts with a crab logo on them. It wasn't Jimmy and Sook in Fairhope. This store was in Mobile. I met the owner in 2005 when he was staying in the Birmingham area due to Hurricane Katrina. I do want to say it was two names, like Something & Something, but I'm drawing a blank. It wasn't either of the Harvell stores, and it wasn't a chain store. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I think I've got it this time!!!

Trying again after getting settled on HRT, which got my binge eating and sugar cravings in control. I've tracked the last four days, and they've all looked about like this. I do need to get but more fiber, though, as this is the first day I've gone over and most days were a near miss.

I've been basing my meals around zero point proteins, zero point veggies and fruits, and using my points for dressings and sauces, cooking oils, and a few healthyish treats here and there.

I'm using my dailies, and on days I exercise, I'm allowing myself to use three weeklies. I don't intend to use any activity points, but nice to know they're there in the event I have something special planned.

I'm VERY pleased to say I've not been hungry at all. I generally get the 3 pm ravenous sugar craving, but loading up on the protein has really helped.

I don't plan to weigh for a few weeks because I know the scale will do strange things. Plus, I lift three days per week. I will use my "measuring shorts."

Edit for formatting and a word.

Can we just not add recipes from the web anymore?

The app is locking up every time I try to save a recipe. Any workarounds for this? Besides logging each part of the recipe separately which is so time consuming.

RESPECTFULLY, GET A GRIP!

I posted the following as a comment to a proofreader who is having difficulty with a few clients, but I've been aching to post it for a while:

I am a former student, Eclipse scopist since 2007, and full-time paralegal in medical malpractice defense for the past 15 years. WITH MY PARALEGAL HAT ON AND SPEAKING FOR ALL SEVEN ATTORNEYS I WORK FOR, if I could tell court reporters one thing, it would be this:

WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR COMMAS, SEMICOLONS, PARAGRAPHS, ETC.!!! You know what we DO care about? That you know the difference between profuse and perfuse, that you don't think the venous system is called the Vena system, and that you don't write COULD OF instead of COULD HAVE. We also want you to know that you "type and cross" blood and not "type in 'cross'" it, and that an injury occurs either proximally or distally, NOT proxibly or distally. We want you to get your speaker identifications correct. We want you to run a spellcheck on your job before you turn it in.

The number of absolute trash transcripts I have gotten this calendar year significantly outweigh the ones I've gotten in all my other 15 years combined. And I read every single deposition that comes through our department. For 15 years. And you know what? Not one of them is trash because of commas or quotation marks or anything else. It's PURE spelling and grammatical errors that make these garbage!

So, on behalf of all attorneys, paralegals, and anyone else getting these transcripts from you, respectfully, WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PUNCTUATION!
