Weight gain

I'm 20 weeks, I'm 38 and a first time mom. Tomorrow is my anatomy scan! I'm so excited for it but at the same time, I've gained 6lbs since my appt last month. I gained 5lbs between my appointment in June and July and my doctor didn't really bring it up. I brought it up but he said there's lots of reasons women's weight will fluctuate when pregnant and just to stay active and try my best with my diet. He's a great doctor but pretty old school in general so I just feel like when/if he brings up my weight gain he's going to be blunt about it.

I just feel like he's going to give me a hard time this month and I. Feeling anxious. I have been active, walking daily and doing Pilates 3-5 times a week but to be honest my diet has been pretty bad. I've been tracking my protein and fiber but not counting calories and I know I've had a lot of processed sweets. Like I'm not eating a pint of ice cream a day or anything but I am enjoying a dessert a day and more processed junk than I should. I think I'm just feeling badly because I spent a year and half prior to getting pregnant losing 80lbs and I've put weight back on quickly. I'm not really concerned about the aesthetics but I just don't want to be unhealthy or do anything that's hurting my baby.

I plan to get back on track and cut out most of the junk but I just have anxiety about seeing the doctor and guess I just wanted to vent.

Reform temples close to Scottsdale

My husband and I just found out we're expecting our first child. We are both Jewish but neither of us are particularly religious. He grew up going to conservative services and my family rarely attended services while I was growing up, but did celebrate holidays. We both feel a connection to Judaism, at least culturally and want our children to feel the same. We also want them to be able to connect and meet other Jewish children. Keeping in mind neither of us are particularly religious and we are both politically progressive, are there any progressive reform temples we should check out? We live in old town Scottsdale but are willing to drive to other parts of the valley within 30ish mins.

We of course would love to be around other young families with small kids, though husband and I are both 38. Once our kiddo is older we would love groups and classes for them to join. I'm likely to want to join women's or mom's groups if the temple has them. I love community service and already volunteer regularly so those types of things would be a plus.

We're considering Temple Emmanuel in Tempe or Temple Solell in Paradise Valley but would love other suggestions if anyone has them! Thank you!

Hopefully this isn't too local for this group. My husband and I just found out we're expecting our first child. We are both Jewish but neither of us are particularly religious. I'm around 6 weeks, definitely not showing yet. My husband and I had a planned trip to Disneyland over the weekend and went and had a great time. This is our first baby, we don't already have kids and it was just us, we didn't have kids with us. I was surprised at the amount of children that came up to me to just chit chat with me in lines etc.

On one ride, I was seated next to a little boy, probably around 5 or 6 yo told me "your baby is in your belly just like I used to be in my mom's." (Mom was mortified btw lol)

I don't know if this was a coincidence or what. My husband and I are theme park people and have annual passes at Disney so we are there often, I've just never had an experience where kids were going out of their way to interact with me like that. Has anyone else had experiences like this?
