Is there a no vital wheat gluten easy seitan recipe?
I cannot find vital wheat gluten and don't want to order it online. But all the recipes that don't use it take hours to make (compared to a vital wheat gluten one I saw that was essentially just blending stuff). Feels like seitan recipes are either easy to make OR don't use vital wheat gluten. Alas, I need both. I saw some people say to just replace the vital wheat gluten with flour but I doubt it would work the same. Any recipe recs?
Any food to freeze in bulk that you can take out smaller portions of?
Let me explain: I have big containers but not that many mid ones. Is there anything I could cook and freeze in a big container and take smaller portions of throughout the week? Or does everything just freeze together, meaning once frozen, it's impossible to get out a smaller portion?
This is probably the dumbest conundrum ever because the answer is literally just buying smaller containers, but it's gonna take more space to store so I thought I'd at least try asking.
Pretty much every vegan recipe substitutes eggs by adding ground flaxseed. Problem is, I can't find them anywhere. I've heard that applesauce can be used as a substitute but very few recipe ever seems to do that. Do you have any blog recs or recipe (for cake, or pie dough/other baseline recipes) that don't substitute eggs with flaxseed?
