1.If you take what makes a game better: content and gameplay and graphics and exclude opinion based things such as physics and dark and gritty which is better gta 5 and gta 4 players won't admit it because its true, I respect everyone's opinions but gta 4 lovers can not be going around saying gta 4 is better like its a fact and not an opinion, I know some people who will prefer sonic the hedgehog 2 over sonic generations despite generations having way better graphics gameplay and story, but you can not say its better like in a factual way because its not.

2. Gta 5 content:

You can go underwater and explore wreckage and Easter eggs.

you can get a haircut

you can get tattoo's

way more character customisation

more clothes

3 characters with different special abilities

more radio stations

you can own business

more cinematic missions that arent repetitive and have different scenarios on how missions play out e.g. instead of going to this location and killing this guy, you go to this place and kill a guy and it has a purpose in terms of how it effects the environment e.g. trevor taking out the lost mc.

you can customise your car

you can hold more guns

you can have attachments to guns

more easter eggs such as ufos

taxi missions that aren't locked after romans business burns down

golf

tennis

planes

tanks

jets

military bases

motorbike that feel good to drive

stocks

buy unique cars

more side missions e.g. strangers and freaks, miscellaneous collectibles such as alien parts that reward you

heists that are more chaotic and can choose crew members with different outcomes.

you can use a shooting range

has an online mode with a bunch of stuff to do.

3.Gta4 content:

bowling

can climb on walls and shimmy

can date several women that aren't strippers

better use of Internet

fast food

comedy shows

subway

police vigilante missions

4. random encounters in gta 5 you can help people in split second decisions.

5.gameplay: gta 5 has smoother faster gameplay and you feel more in control and you can move more when aiming your guns

motorbike driving is way better in gta 5 hands down

your car doesn't burn when it tips over

gta 4 driving is better only if you prefer the weight stuff on cars

6. overall it is personal preference but if you take the opinion based thingsout of the equation gta 5 slams hands down, there's a reason when you ask someone do you play gta they always say gta 5 not gta 4, because it's objectively better.
