I think I’ve mastered my braid outs

I think I’ve gotten the best most juiciest braid out routine right now. The first two pics are day one so much shine and definition but still has tons of bounce and movement. The last two pics are day 5-7 it gets fluffy but looks just as good.

I’m currently using the redken all soft shampoo (sometimes I’ll use the redken cleansing cream to clarify first), then the joico moisture recovery mask.

On damp hair I use the doux crazy sexy curl foam. Sometimes I’ll use the redken one united before but most of the time I use the mousse by itself. I perm rod the ends and sit under the hooded dryer and take them out in the morning.

Why does my hydroquinone need to be refrigerated?

My doctor prescribed me hydroquinone and my pharmacy gives me a jar that must be refrigerated and expires within 30 days. It literally turns brown and the product goes to waste. When I see people online with hydroquinone it comes in a tube and is shelf stable. Is it the pharmacy or is my doctor not prescribing me the right thing?

Why is my aloe plant looking like this?

I’ve had these aloe plant for maybe 2 years now and they’ve been fine all this time. Now they look sad and welted. I did move them by the window when it started to get warmer is that why?

Also should I cut off that black leaf?

Do you ask clients for pictures of themselves?

I find it helpful to ask clients for pictures of themselves prior to the appointment especially if it’s travel if there’s anything specific I may need. Or even just tailoring the look to their face and discussing that process with them over text.

Is this something you do? Is it weird to ask for photos?

Staying for touch ups at wedding.

Hi I’m a makeup artist in Ontario,Canada. Ive been a makeup artist as a side gig for a couple years now but I’ve never had a client ask me to stay at the wedding for touch ups. Should I charge the makeup application fee and then do an hourly rate? Or should I do a flat rate to stay? If so what’s a typical hourly rate to stay at the wedding?
