Planning the beginning
Hi all, I’m working on planning out my build of an LQ9 into my 240sx.
My question is around getting an engine and having it refreshed. I don’t want to go brand new crate engine because there are too many replacement parts/modifications needed, so I’m wondering where is a good place to get a used engine and have a company refresh it? I’m not as familiar with engine building and such but would like it to be refreshed and ensure everything will work as intended when the time comes to put it in. What items would I be looking to ensure the company does to ensure everything is properly working and such?
Ultimately looking to hit 450/500hp so recommendations on additions to the refresh are welcome.
I understand this is a broad, newbie question, but hoping I can get some clarity around this as I know lots of people started in a similar spot.
