I am moving to the engine part of the build and need help sourcing from someone reliable. I’m in CO, but knowing it won’t be running beyond the warranty period I’m being as various as I can. Looking for an LQ9 with all essentials. Anyone have a go to that ships or is in CO (Denver ish area)?
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts their sweet golden girls and boys.
We had our first of eight years suddenly develop a blood clot that would’ve resulted in one or both rear legs back and January so had to make the hardest decision of my life then. It brings me so much joy to see other goldens that share similar traits, like rolling in the mud, giving goofy faces, loving children, and just being the sweetest. I’m still struggling with this months later but being able to see everyone’s pictures I just want to say to embrace the chaos. The hair, the silliness, the love.
She was the friendliest girl and I can still feel here around. I know there are a lot of ups and downs as people post their pups, but just know they all mean so much. Give them a good hug and let them give you a big kiss in return.

Reviewing the options, it doesn’t seem there is a non-track version of a full replacement harness that encompasses all comforts like AC, Radio, original stalks, etc.
Anyone know if this is available? Removing mine and a lot of clips were brittle and broke. Is this a depin/replace and relocate situation as I’d like to clean things up.
Found a couple drops of oil on the driveway today and looked into it. Truck has the 4.0 with around 160k miles on it. No oil pressure light or anything. I checked that little timing box on the passenger side and nothing appears, leak wise. Valve covers have some gunk but doesn’t appear to be active (obviously could be wrong). Pulled the skid and saw the good amount of active reside.
Now the only thing I changed was parking in my driveway which puts the nose down at a pretty good angle. If it’s going to leak, this likely just emphasized the leak.
Does this look like a timing chain cover leak as I don’t really have the 2-3k at the moment to fix. Oil level looks good otherwise though as I still have about 2k miles to the change.
Any help in diagnosing where this could be coming from?
Hi all, I’m working on planning out my build of an LQ9 into my 240sx.
My question is around getting an engine and having it refreshed. I don’t want to go brand new crate engine because there are too many replacement parts/modifications needed, so I’m wondering where is a good place to get a used engine and have a company refresh it? I’m not as familiar with engine building and such but would like it to be refreshed and ensure everything will work as intended when the time comes to put it in. What items would I be looking to ensure the company does to ensure everything is properly working and such?
Ultimately looking to hit 450/500hp so recommendations on additions to the refresh are welcome.
I understand this is a broad, newbie question, but hoping I can get some clarity around this as I know lots of people started in a similar spot.
