hi guys, I am video editor who is good in editing, how much should charge for my services ik it depends on complexity and time it takes but i am just asking for general thing like this is the good amount you can charge to a person if you even do basic stuff and this much if you add motion graphics a bit and trendy captions or documentary style thing.

what i want to know:

• short form content (basic, good editing, high editing like motion graphics, color grading etc)
• long form content (vlog, entertainment, documentary, etc)

also if any experienced editor readiing this can you tell me the best practice to follow like should a freelancer charge acc to per video or minute.

I’ve spent time in a few metro cities, and one thing that stood out to me is how differently people react to random conversations or “cold approaches.”

In bigger cities like Delhi or Jaipur, if you start a conversation with someone (regardless of gender), it’s usually taken at face value. People are open to talking, and sometimes it even leads to exchanging numbers or Instagram. It feels normal and not overanalyzed.

But in smaller cities like Sirsa, the reaction is very different. If you approach a girl for a simple conversation, most assume you’re hitting on them. It’s not just limited to women either. I’ve seen guys immediately jump to conclusions like, “She was looking at me, she likes me,” and then build a whole narrative around it.

It feels like there’s a tendency to overinterpret basic social interaction here, almost as if casual conversation between strangers isn’t normalized.

I’m curious, have others noticed this difference between metro cities and smaller towns when it comes to cold approaches and general openness to conversation?
