Those who switched from the O11 Vision to the O11 Mini V2 — do you regret it?

I’m curious if anyone here moved from the Lian Li O11 Vision Compact or the larger mid-tower O11 Vision to the O11 Mini V2.

I recently made the switch myself. I originally thought I had ordered the Compact, but ended up receiving the larger version and just kept it instead of returning it.

While I really love how much more desk space I have now with the Mini V2, I still sometimes miss the larger case and especially the top glass panel aesthetic.

At the same time, the full-sized O11 just felt too big for my setup overall. Honestly, if I had gotten the Vision Compact from the start, I probably wouldn’t have switched cases at all.

For those who downsized to the Mini V2:

Was it worth it?
Do you regret it at all?
I’m especially curious about:
temps/cooling
noise levels
GPU fit and airflow
overall aesthetics and desk space

Would love to hear real pros and cons from people who actually made the switch.

RGB logo haunting me. 5070ti tuf

OpenRGB wouldn’t work even when running as admin. My motherboard is Gigabyte, so I also had GCC installed with RGB Fusion / RGB Sync, but that didn’t work properly either.

I really want to avoid any bloatware.

I tried SignalRGB and it actually worked, but it was using a lot of memory and noticeably increasing CPU temps. On top of that, I thought the RGB rainbow puke would stay gone after uninstalling it ..and it did, until I restarted my PC. After a reboot, the RGB comes back again.

At this point, I just want a permanent solution to turn off or control the RGB without installing things like ASUS Aura Sync or any similar software.

Help me decide between the 2 motherboards please!

I’m building my first PC soon and I’m trying to decide between these two motherboards:

ASUS ROG STRIX B850 A
GIGABYTE B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE

The new parts I’m upgrading to are:

ASUS TUF RTX 5070 Ti OC
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 White 32GB CL30
Lian Li Edge 850W PSU

I’ll also be reusing parts from my current setup:

Lian Li O11 Vision (regular/full size version, not Compact)
Lian Li Galahad LCD AIO
Kingston 1TB SSD
All 7 of my Lian Li fans

My current PC has:

Gigabyte B760M DDR4 motherboard
RTX 4060
Intel i5 12400F

This ^ current PC was built for me, so this upgrade will basically be my first real build by myself. Reusing parts from my old setup makes me feel less anxious because I already know where a lot of things go physically inside the case.

One thing I’m wondering is whether staying with Gigabyte would make the process easier for me, since my current motherboard is already Gigabyte. I’m hoping the cable/header placement and general layout might feel more familiar.

I also like that I already know the positioning inside the case from my current setup. Same with the AIO, would I basically just need to swap to the AM5 bracket and reinstall it in the same location?

So overall I’m mainly looking for:

Better overall motherboard quality/performance
Reliability and long term stability
Easier installation for a beginner
Less stressful transition from my current setup
Which one would fit this build better aesthetically and practically

Thing is I’ve also heard not so great things about the gigabyte mobo. Something like, it isn’t so beginner friendly or as easy to navigate with the bios.. and/or the mobo tends to act up. However the asus mobo is very beginner friendly and more reliable?

Anyways,
Which motherboard would you choose in my situation and why?

If you made it til here thanks for reading, and any help will be greatly appreciated
