A fear of having bad views.

I have the fear of bad views. For example, I do not want people to hate me, I am just being me. Is there any closest phobia to this?

12 days before the 541st anniversary of poor Richard III’s death!

Aye! You are early here! You are here before the traitors of Lancaster and Richmond have succeeded to be kings! Glad you are here before the poor king’s death.

Change my mind or not: Bert is a bad influence.

As I watched Mary Poppins(1964) in January, 2026, I made a review on rotten tomatoes(finally publishing it now):

“The film is great with songs like Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Sister suffragette and all of that, yet I do give this 2.5 star. While this film is a truly unique classic, in the Uncle Albert sequence, the male characters(Bert and Uncle Albert)all seem to be off whilst the children is not a problem. Mary Poppins is the only dignified character in this scene as she refuses to laugh and float to the ceiling. Plus, in the step in time sequences, this one is far too long, consisting of 8 minutes. Whilst I found George Banks stuffy and boring, at the end, I just found him as a stressed father.”

Dare to change my mind?

If I gave Dick in 1961 suggestions for his sitcom title…

Last time, I posted about why Dick Van Dyke show had a very simple name.

Now, I want you to suggest some names. I already came up with one: "Life in a Sunshine Time.”

Anymore ideas?

A blueberry inflation episode?

Here is a fan episode of what if there was blueberry inflation. Sorry if personalities do not match, it is just made by me, remember?

Episode title: Chew it, D*ck!

INT. Living room.

So it is a warm morning. Dick Preston is open-mouth chewing gum while Bernie Davis is reading a book(called “The world of gummy bears: How Haribo was created.”)yet continues to cover his ears.

Bernie: “Oh, Dick, can you stop that rubbish gum noise?”

Dick: “No. It’s my favourite sweet and I’ve been chewing it for 3 days.”

Bernie: “3 days! Enough to stick your mouth, Dick! When I was young, we did not have that teeth-agonising confectionery being popular.”

Dick: “Agonising? It’s just dancing in my mouth.”

Bernie: “Jenny, Dick has been chewing gum for 3 days and he isn’t stopping!”

Jenny(spits coffee, shocked): “3 DAYS?!?” (goes to Dick, snatches the chewed gum, puts it in the bin, washes her hand and gives Dick a mint imperial) “There: Better than those noisy sticky pinkish things.”

Dick(spits it out): “Mints! Too hard! Jenny, give me a gum now.”

Bernie(calls out): “ANGIE!”

Suddenly, chorus: Angie as it gets high pitched by 5 times the name is called out.

Angie: “Yes, dad—oh, Mr Davis!”

Bernie: “Your father is chewing gum and he wants it back!”

Angie: “Dad, if you want a confectionary, how about Cadbury’s chocolate?”

Dick: “Chocolate? It is sweet but not sweet enough than chewing gum.”

Bernie: “Ah, how about Gummy bears?”

Dick: “They’re not gum!”

Carol: “How about taffy?”

Dick(filled with anger): “THAT IS A RIP OFF! GUM IS GUM, THAT’S IT!”

Dick is going to the kitchen and grabs chocolate, taffy and gummy bears. Soon, Dick bins it.

Dick(throwing all the chocolate): “No more chocolate…”

Angie(O.S, screaming): “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Dick(goes to Angie and hits her bottom with a belt): “You rascal!” (goes back to the kitchen, which the chocolate has already been thrown into the bin, then throws all the gummy bears into the bin) “No more gummy bears…”

Bernie Davis(O.S): “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Dick(then throws all the taffy into the bin): “No more taffies…”

Carol(O.S, throws a plate onto Dick, it misses): “GOD DAMMIT!”

Dick then goes outside to see a truckload of gum.

Dick: “Just me and my gum.” (grabs all the gum)

Meanwhile, everyone else is bored, whispering.

Carol: “This is a nightmare, no taffies!”

Bernie: “I’m having a nightmare much worse—no gum bears!”

Angie: “I have one worse than you! No chocolate.”

Mike Preston(coming): “Hello everyone, did I miss something?”

Jenny: “Mike, Dick just took your chocolates away.”

Mike Preston: “Chocolates?!? HOW COULD MY BROTHER DO THIS?!?”

Dick(O.S): “WHAT THE HECK IS THIS NOISE?!?”

Jenny: “Quick! Be silent!”

Dick(chewing the gum, in the room): “And there’s nothing replacing this type of treat!”

Bernie: “Yes there is!”

Dick: “Bernie, in your room, NOW!”

Bernie(goes inside his room, gesturing wildly):

”Oh, you think that pinkish blob is the ultimate delight,
But your tastebuds, my dear Dick, are in a tragic plight!
There are licorice twists and peppermint drops,
And lemon-flavored, fizzy lollipop tops!

There are jellybeans, caramels, marshmallow fluff,
And a million other types of confectionery stuff!
So open up your mind and give your jaw a little rest,
Because literally any other candy is the best!”

Dick(enters Bernie’s room): “Bernie…” (hits Bernie’s bottom)

Bernie: “OW! PLEASE, STOP! IT’S NOT MY FAULT—I WAS-OW! SINGING!”

Dick: “Gum is the only treat you should eat.”

Bernie(pushes Dick away): “Enough!”

Dick(enters the living room, nose blue): “And what was I saying? Oh yes, gum is the best thing you could try.”

Jenny: “Your nose!”

Dick(face blue): “My nose? There’s nothing wrong with my face—what?” (checks hand, it is blue) “What’s happening to my hand?”

Bernie(O.S, cheering): “My favourite book!” (enters the living room) “CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY!”

Dick seems to be unusually swelling.

Dick(clothes turning blue): “I feel quite round!” (belt snaps) “WHAT’S HAPPENING!”

Bernie: “WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY! MY FAVOURITE FILM! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show, the New Blueberry show!“

Dick(crying): “SILENCE!” (checks his growing bottom) “Oh, goodness.”

At this point, Dick swells into a giant blueberry.

Dick: “HELP, HELP—MMPH!” (cheeks puff out)

Bernie: “No more helping! Just me, Angie, Carol, Jenny and Mike, chocolate, taffies and my gummy bears.”

Dick: “MMPH-(explodes into blueberry juice)

Bernie(cheers): “YES!” Angie(jumps up and down): “MORE CHOCOLATE!”

Mike(grabbing telephone): “I want taffies, gummy bears and chocolate!” (goes outside)

Bernie: “And remember, kids, teens, adults and elders, no more chewing gum!”

Episode ends.

How about a role reversal for The Tragedy of Richard III: Richard swaps with Henry VII?

Are you mad of the hunchback version of Richard III? Did you want this in your whole life: a role reversal? Well indeed you can. First, a person must make a role reversal script of Henry VII being Richard III instead!

Why is it called The Dick Van Dyke show, even if the characters are fictional?

You know the Dick Van Dyke show? Yes, but one problem, the name. You know, the writers could have made suggestions like, “Times for comedy.” Or, “Life ain’t easy.”

2D is better than CGI.

Have you ever missed the classic Disney 2D version? Me too, but the reason why we are now stuck on the CGI version is because of Micheal Eisner. Some animators even quit working at Disney! Do you think 2D should be given a better chance?

If I were an animator in Disney in 2000, I would have made a 2D advert instead.
