My Pomeranian is scheduled for right medial patellar luxation surgery — looking for recovery advice and what to expect
Hello everyone! My dog is about 11lbs and she is getting surgery tomorrow, I’m already super nervous about it and have been stressed about it for the past two weeks, i know she might have to put most of her weight on her left leg but the doctor says i should really watch out for it because her left leg might need surgery as well if i dont watch out for it… (shes been putting pressure on her left leg for a while bc i didnt know what was wrong with her leg went to multiple vets and they all said it was arthritis, turns out she needed surgery all this time and i didnt know..)
I just want to know what to expect how to help her pee and poop (I walk her but she also uses the wee pad) I got her a donut bed that’s a bit firmer than her regular bed, I also got her a donut cone since the cone they will give her might make her uncomfortable to sleep in. Are their any supplements I can give her that can help with recovery or to speed it up for her since it will be a 2 month recovery process. I am just super worried and any advice
