I'm bored; let's discuss the concept of anti-elitist philosophy.

It's objectively true that elites (those with high political power or at least in the top 10% of wealth) are massive power brokers. They influence almost every part of their daily lives.

There is a strain of thinking that suggests conspiracy among these elites--a cabal, if you will. I do not endorse this idea personally, I merely wish to explore it with you all.

This theory suggests that elites actively conspire to puppeteer us behind closed doors, using a variety of nefarious plans.

Never mind that sort of thing has had highly unfortunate historical connotations. But when someone says "don't use that sort of wording" they're accused of liking elites.

I could be entirely wrong in this post.

Correct me.

Do you think that the United Kingdom illegally took land from the Palestinians and used it to form Israel?

I can already see the flame war coming. No, I do not hate Jews. I just wanted to gauge the sub's opinion on this.

And as a reminder, legal does not equal moral.

Do humans with more societal, economic, and social privileges retain personhood? Why or why not?

Yes, I know you're gonna say, "how can you claim to be center-right if you ask something like this?"

Hey man, I come from a low-income family, work way too hard to remain sane, and then see people with legacy and inherited wealth coast through life.

It's enough to make even an unfeeling robot cry, in my opinion.

And yes, this is related to my fear of not getting into college, despite the fact I burned myself out over academics and trying to give back some time to my community...

What is your opinion on impeachment as a concept?

Setting aside the politically charged connotations, how good/flawed do you think the Framers were in making impeachment an option, given the ambiguity of "high crimes and misdemeanors"?

Do you think that SAT scores (and standardized test scores) are a biased estimator of student capacity?

There are some people who are highly privileged.
They get world-class tutoring, excellent paid prep, the works. They score high on the SAT, get into prestigious colleges. Unfortunately, this beats out many disadvantaged students that work super hard, especially since legacy admissions are also a thing.

That being said, I need to hear your opinions.

I wish for everyone to feel like everything is pointless and nothing matters all the time!

I personally am not anti-AI, because I struggle with autism and need somewhere to vent (usually a chatbot) without judgement. I feel like those who are anti-AI forget about people like me.

As in the title, and I'm OK to discuss.
