The one thing that is amazing about the DCU over the MCU is the fact that, from what we can tell so far, the DCU is willing to do something the MCU has trapped itself with for almost 2 decades now.

The MCU has no real recurring villains.

One of my favorite Avengers stories is Age of Ultron and Rage of Ultron.

The thing I love about Ultron is that he could literally always back himself up somewhere else and come back when he has the resources. And I hope they reveal one day that he has... because it would be amazing to see a real apocalypse-level multi-year spanning story where the MCU is under the rule of Ultron.

That being said, I thought of this whilst realizing that MoT will likely have Lex be a villain near the end of the film again and likely try to betray Superman at one point. This made me realize that I haven't seen a recurring villain in a Superhero movie in ages (probably the only example would be Magneto)

Haven't read comics since 2016 when Doctor Strange came out and I read The Oath. I don't tend to read mainline comics either. Mostly Graphic novels.

But I just got all of Geoff Johns' Green Lantern to start reading that and get into it all.

If anyone has any GL recommendations (especially if it doesn't require any background knowledge or lore) it would be much appreciated. Also, so far I prefer John over Hal because of the JLU series but am keen to read from both

I don't think they're working on anything let alone anything good. I think they're just scared to admit they can't crack the script.

My pitch is this -> Give Batman to James Wan

He nailed the first Aquaman and made it super comic accurate.

Give him Batman and let him flex his fantastical horror muscles on a Batman movie.

Don't know about you guys, but I paid to see Superman in theatres 4 times (3 of those times was in Gold Class)

I'm not going to watch anything from the DCU unless it has amazing reviews and it features characters I care about or are interested in.

You guys can defend this crap as much as you want. But I don't need to watch it, we have Marvel if DC doesn't want to deliver any more.

Genuinely just didn't want to spend $600 on headphones that will break within a year.

Why are the moderators so salty about someone deciding against Sony headphones? Like half your sub here doesn't even like the headphones they buy and are frustrated with Sony.

Yet when someone doesn't buy into it and decides to act rationally on what's posted in this sub, suddenly it's bad?
