summer internship outfits for a disabled future attorney?
hey y’all!
i’m a recent b.a. grad with a summer internship at a local attorney’s office that has me going to the courthouse for at least 2-3 hours everyday. i want to look professional, but i will absolutely PERISH if i try to wear a suit in 90°+ in north carolina.
i am on several medications that affect my heat tolerance and i have almost passed out in the courtroom multiple times already from exhaustion and blood pressure drops. i walk with a cane and may possibly be taking my forearm crutches this week because i have been in a B A D flare lately. even a light long sleeve shirt has me overheating. i’m not doing paralegal work, just observing and helping with organization from time to time.
i don’t really own any skirts except for two, which are black and sage green. most of the slacks i own are dark colors. hell, most of my clothes are dark colors. i’m aware that this doesn’t help but i’m working with what i’ve got here!!!!
